Shai Hills reserved is the closest Eco friendly hike location in Accra and it is best for those who loves the nature. Popular activities include game viewing, bird watching, nature walking, and rock climbing. For those who cannot walk or hike very much, there is an option to use a car and drive across the locations along the safari area.

Shai Hills Resource Reserve
The Shai Hills Resource Reserve is the closest wildlife sanctuary to Accra. See baboons, birds, butterflies, antelope, ostrich, zebras and bat caves. Hiking and driving routes of various lengths are available, as well as rock scrambling. 5.00My family and I greatly appreciated this experience. The guide who picked us up was courteous and punctual. Upon our arrival at Shai Hills, an employee provided us with an informative tour. He explained the historical significance of the location and ensured our safety throughout the walk. The staff demonstrated patience and kindness, and we never felt rushed or as though we were inconveniencing them, even when one member of our group had difficulty keeping pace. They fostered an enjoyable atmosphere, and the information shared was impactful. I highly recommend visiting this site to anyone in the area.

5.00My experience was great! We learned alot about the tribes and how they tought children how to cook, take of their husbands and slept underneath rocks. The animals were beautiful 😍
