Juma Mosque
The first place to conquer is an old city Shemakha used to be the capital many centuries ago. Here you will see the first mosque in Azerbaijan. Built in VIII century it has room for 2000 person to pray at once.
Then you will gradually cross mountains and stop at forest of Ismailli region. Imagine, the hanging bridge you are about to cross was the only way to reach opposite villages for many years.

1.00I was not communicated at all. They canceled the tour and never told me. On the day of the trip no one came and I was told there were road work which is a lie because other companies did the tour like baku herritage which highly recommand! The company offered me a "free" tour to gubaston but i had to pay 55 azn for fees. The company isnt good.

5.00It's a long day but well worthwhile. Shamaki & Sheki are excellent. Lunch at Gerebe was perfect. Great location. If you have the time, stay in these locations for a day or two. Guide was okay.

1.00Pick up was on time, as agreed. The van was old, uncomfortable seats that slant forward, so you struggle not to slide from your seat. Long periods of driving ; short stops in which you’re pressured to buying something wildly overpriced. Did not stop at Gel Lake, as promissed. The lunch stop was imsultingly expensive: twice the price of the best restaurants in Baku, for lackluster food. No free time in Shekhi; herded like cattle at all times. “English” tour ended up being in three different languages mixed.. The guide was kind and helpful but the tour structure is so that you are not the tour agency’s client, but their product. Would not book again.

5.00Very interesting tour and amazing village, Sheri, a must in Azerbaijan. The guide, Nursing was só kind and professional and explained us all history and details. The car was só comfortable. We were lucky also we were only a group of three. Thank you Nursan!

5.00Sheki is worth the trip! The road is long but very beautiful, in the middle of the Caucasus mountains. Precisely for this reason the small group worked perfectly. The exceptional guide: nice, competent and available to give all the information about the country. I highly recommend it but it is 8 hours of travel. Some problems on the pickup but fixable Thank you.
Good trip, would recommend. Confirm details with Company before hand.

4.00Tour Guide and driver: The tour guide Saeed was amazing. He knew everything and handled the two different language groups properly. He was excellent. The driver was good too. Tour company: My feedback for the company is to respect the pick up time you confirmed since this tour starts very early in the morning. I double confirmed twice the night before and they confirmed the time. On the day at the pick up time they delayed it by 40 mins. We woke up early and got ready just to be delayed by 40 minutes. The car must be more comfortable. We got a car which could only sit 4 guests comfortably. But we were 5. I was in the middle seat for almost 8 hours of the car drive which was not comfortable at all.

4.00I have been travelling to Sheki with a very small group and our guide Ahmed who was very knowledgeable, calm and patient with us. We visited Shamaxi and its mosque and continued to the hanging bridge. The landscape in the mountain was beautiful. We went to a bucolic place to a lake close to Qabala. Sheki is a lovely town but I regret we could not stay more time there. We should focus more on Sheki and maybe avoid previous stops. Ahmed tried to answer our wishes but he had to follow the program. We came back to Baku very late that night, Ahmed made this trip very interesting although we did not stay enough time in Sheki.
Enjoyed exploring Azerbaijan!

4.00Highlight of this trip was Sheki! Beautiful scenery (mountains), The palace of Sheki Khan's, caravanserai, Sheki fortress and Albanian Church. Lots to see in one place! I also liked Juma Mosque and the hanging bridge! The lake on the way back we weren't able to see because it was already too dark and we lost some time in the morning and then we had two big breaks which I think could have been shortened or maybe it would have made more sense if we saw the lake earlier in the day. Also, at the beginning of the trip we lost almost an hour waiting for other tourists which I think isn't fair for the rest of the people. We could have seen the lake if it wasn't for them... But nonetheless, my partner and I were able to enjoy our trip and made some nice memories!:)
