  I was a bit hesitant about booking this tour but I’m so glad I did. It was a really great day that is a good balance of activity with the short hike and climb using the ropes, beautiful nature from seeing the animals and then the boat ride was a great end to the day. I even got to ride the boat myself. The thing that made the trip particularly special was my tour guide Peter. He went above and beyond to make the day a great experience for our group. I was a solo traveller and Peter took lots of great pictures for me. It was also my birthday and he added an extra stop that was not part of the itinerary to a cocoa farm as well as a viewpoint to see the whole of Accra. He was an incredible guide and I’m so grateful for the amazing day he made it. I would recommend others to book this tour.

  We did not do this trip because of the rain but other options were substituted and the trip was great. We covered a lot of ground and the trip took longer than expected but the scenery was marvelous.

  Fantastic experience with Expedition-Go Tours Ghana. Our drive/guide couldnt have been more helpful or considerate and got us to all our sites on time, as I was conscious that we needed to be back in Accra for our flight home, so the team were so great tailoring the tour times and getting us back in time. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and looked after us well. The sites were amazing and definitely a highlight of our trip!! Would recommend in a heart beat.

  Great Trip with Peter! I was on this excursion as a solo traveler with 2 other solo travelers. This review is about the excursion company not the cruise itself which is operated by a separate company: I was picked up on time, perhaps even a bit early. I was told to manage my expectations in Ghana- that time is flexible. I can offer that the pick up time was confirmed the night before for both tours I booked with this company and the guides arrive in time or a little early- Perfect! The transport vehicle was modern and had excellent AC for this trip. The other trip less modern but still comfortable and cool. The trip was as described. Now that I’ve traveled with a different local tour company, I can compare and contrast the differences- and this was significantly better. The journey was long but comfortable. Cold water came readily. No loud music. Pleasant sounds and smells throughout. Have I mentioned this company was significantly better than others I encountered on my trip to Ghana? Clean bathroom facilities are a must and I recall asking the preferred location to use the bathroom and got helpful advice! Thanks again Peter. Great eatery at the Lake, appropriately, highly recommended. Peter suggested we order first and the food was ready when we got back from the beautiful trip on the water. We weren’t rushed to eat and get back on the road- much appreciated. The handoffs to the site tour guides was seamless. The individuals with whom we traveled the two sites were lovely, informative, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10 day trip

  Peter was an excellent guide and driver. He was even early to pick us all up. The minivan was comfortable and air conditioned, which was very welcome on such a hot day (36 degrees). The mountain 'hike' was only very short, but offered great views over the area. Not many animals about, apart from baboons and the zebra and ostriches in the penned area. All fees were included in the package - just lunch to pay for, which was huge and absolutely delicious. Boat ride was fun and great views of the islands and bridge. Ride back to Accra was long due to heavy traffic, but we'd all had a great day.

  The guide Emmanuel was fantastic and super helpful. It was great to have power and WiFi in the vehicle. The vehicle itself was really comfortable. The land reserve tour was a bit short. The river boat ride was lovely but also more brief than I expected. It's hard to do a lot in a day, but we spent the majority of the time driving to places as opposed to enjoying them.

  I enjoy exceedingly wonderful time with a fantastic guide and two fabulous visitors from Canada … because all of us are very well like close brothers. Shai Hills Reservation is absolutely stunning and awesome … I climb up to top of rock hill and fall in love with an awesome panoramic scenery of lovely savannah, bush trees, mountains and amazing landscape … a ranger is so superb, friendly and great. Then later my group and I are so happy to have a fantastic boat cruise along magnificent River Volta with beautiful green lush on riverbanks and numerous gorgeous palm trees. A lovely boat cruise crew are so generous to a Canadian visitor and me to drive along legendary River Volta so proud where I was born and bred in Ghana by my British parents before moved into UK. • Accra Guided Shia Hills Safari & Akosombo Boat Cruise Day Tour

  The experience from start to finish was professional. Customer service was first class. I had an amazing time George and his accompanying guide were super friendly, knowledgeable about the areas we passed through on our way to the trip. The drive through the Safari, hike which was done by the park guide was superb. The final trip on the boat was amazing. On the way back we stopped to get hot bread and cakes. A must for the homeward journey. I was kindly assisted by the team to get an Uber home at the end of the day. Which they ensured I was safely taken home. I highly recommend.   A very well organized and very informative tour to the Shai Hills and Akosombo with boat tour. We had a very nice and dedicated guide who gave us a lot of interesting information about Ghana.
