We are inviting you to a unique experience of shibari, tailored to your interests! We can teach you the basics that you need to start exploring the power of tying with your partner or friends. We can do a photo shoot on the beach or create a shibari suspension ritual.
Ben has been a performer and teacher of rope art for many years, and Kat joined joined him about 2 years ago. We have found shibari as our great passion! Since what we offer are private sessions, we always adapt our workshops to you, who book the experience . This is what sets us apart: we are not a one fits all kind of course that is just repeated. We listen to what you want!
We believe that the practice of rope bondage can change the way you relate to the world around you and can help forming deeper bonds to the people closest to you. We have seen many people discover the incredible freedom that the rope can introduce into their lives. This is what we live for.

Shibari, the traditional Japanese art of tying, is a way of connecting with yourself and with others in a sensual way. It creates a special bond between friends and couples. Learning shibari is the perfect activity while you have some time with each other during holidays. A professional shibari session etting tied by a professional can be a strong and beautiful experience. We offer you a day in ropes set in the stunning landscape of the island of Tenerife. Our menu: - learn the basic knowledge to tie each other in a playful and intuitive way. You don’t need to know all that much to start exploring! - experience the mind bending sensation of being suspended on the beach or of being tied to a tee in the Anaga mountains. - be in a shibari suspension specifically for taking unforgettable photos. In our beginner's lesson will teach you the basic knots to start exploring and a lot of additional knowledge to help you have fun, such as ways body-handling techniques inspired by martial arts, tips for playful encounters or the 12 ways of erotic tying.

5.00I started learning from Ben with my partner. Step by step Ben guided us to understand and practice the principles of the tradition of Shibari. There were a lot of intense moments! In the end we learnt a lot about each other, about ourselves and the practice influenced our relationship in a very positive way. Thank you Ben <3

5.00Spending time with Ben and Kat learning about the world of shibari is truly an incredible experience. They open up a new perspective to you, through which you get a chance to discover yourself and things around you. I have only heard of rope bondage earlier without truly experiencing it, with a proper introduction that Ben and Kat gave me I was able to get closer to my own feelings. Shibari opened up some questions and important discussions that Ben and Kat with big enthusiasm were ready to ponder with us, somehow very therapeutic. A beautiful interactation, location also played a big role definitely. To sum it up, super sweet artists that make you dive deep into their craft, deep enough to have a connection with it and find bits of yourself there! Can totally recommend :))

5.00This is my favourite Shibari class experience in comparison to other beginners classes I've been to. I was able to learn a lot from Ben’s thorough guidance, exercises and feedback. He is a very empathic and knowledgable teacher, creating a fun and safe environment for learning and exploring, giving personal attention to each student. Communication was great before, during and after classes, which helped me to practice in my personal time as well.

5.00I had an interest in Shibari before I went to classes with Ben Mergelsberg but I didn’t really know how to do it, and I didn’t really know if I would like it, because it gave me some respect. The way the classes started and the atmosphere it created gave me a lot of confidence and I was able to relax quickly, which is something very important in practice. I realized that I love all aspects of Shibari, especially I found out how much it relaxes me and enjoys being tied but I also gained confidence in tying the other person (which I didn’t feel so sure about at first). In addition to knowing how to explain the technique and the different aspects of practice, Ben had the patience to go step by step and back off when he blocked me. I really enjoyed the course, and would recommend it to anyone curious!
