Napier is referred to as the Art Deco Capital of the World. Learn what Art Deco is, see and learn for yourself what a fantastic, unique City Napier is. You will explore the City and suburbs including an Art Deco housing Estate. On rare occasions, if the above noted establishments are not available, we will do our absolute best to add a substitute stop. We visit 2 Premium Wineries for tasting different wines, our personal guarantee not to compromise on wineries quality due to high tasting fees.
Mission Estate Winery
On the day, you will either visit the Top best Winery in New Zealand and learn the history, explore the building and grounds, before tasting a flight of their great wines. You will taste both local reds and whites on the day. Mission estate winery booking is subject to availability or we will replace with other Similar Premium winery-No compromise on Quality.

4.00A potentially good tour in sunny weather. Unfortunately it was raining constantly and very windy during this tour so we weren’t able to get to the lookout and enjoy the view. We stopped at 2 wineries for tastings and then drove around the city to try to see art deco buildings through steamed up windows!

5.00The stop at Mission Winery was worth the trip all by itself. Beautiful setting and great tasting room. Just a shame this portion of the excursion wasn't a little bit longer. Highly Recommend.

5.00Kirsty was an outstanding host. Her in depth knowledge of the local area meant that we got to see a number of sights that might not have been covered on another tour. We learned a lot of Napier history with a local. Highly recommend.

5.00Our guide, Adil, filled the short time we had in Napier with lots of interesting information about this lovely city. We enjoyed our visit to the Mission Winery and then a beer tasting with our small group of six. This size makes a tour extra-special. He pointed out many of the art deco features throughout our drive and a brief walk. We only wish our cruise had allowed us more than 4 hours to explore Napier. It has so much to offer a visitor! RECOMMENDED tour.

5.00Darryl was our Tour Guide and was very professional and informative. Despite a Managerial Issue regarding pick up location due to miscommunication, Darryl was an excellent host for the Day visiting City sights, Winery and a local Pub. It was a relaxing time and the quality of locations and beverages were excellent. Napier is a very beautiful port.

5.00Coming off the cruise shuttle bus was delayed, but all guests made our tour as Kirstie waited thise few extra minutes. Off to a good start...Kirstie was kind, professional and knowledgeable about Napier..and an excellent driver! The Mission Estate winery was a great experience...in a private room with a staff member. The property was lovely . even bought a bottle of wine to enjoy onboard our ship. Great to travel with small group and make new friends!

5.00This was really a lovely tour! Our guide, Kirsty, was delightful! She was dressed in period clothing, and just so friendly and knowledgeable. We started with a drive through the main Art Deco area of town, with Kirsty pointing out highlights and a few stops for pictures. Then we stopped at Mission Bay for a wine tasting. Very nice. We had a separate room with a guide from the winery - Olly - explaining more about the region and the wines we were tasting. All were so good! The estate is beautiful, and we had a little time to wander the gardens to enjoy the scenery. Then we were off to a brewery to taste 3 beers or ciders of our choosing. They were very accommodating - we were handed a menu and a slip of paper to choose the 3 things we wanted. This was a small group tour, with just 8 of us in the group, which was so nice! It gave us a chance to get to know each other and our guide. Especially at the brewery - we all pulled up to one table and chatted while enjoying the beers/ciders. Napier is a beautiful town and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend!

5.00Another couple from the cruise ship joined us for the tour, and we all had a great time. Anil is an excellent tour guide. He communicates well, uses the microphone effectively, and is funny. Every stop was good, but I especially appreciated the view from the old neighborhood, where he showed us a map of the geography before and after the earthquake. Anil was very good at explaining the unique characteristics of Art Deco architecture.

5.00Lovely city and historic winery, followed by a tasting at a craft brewery. Kirstie was a fun and informative guide, and showed us some hidden gems in town that we never would have found on our own. We wish we'd had more time to visit Napier, but our ship was only there for a few hours. This was a great way to see the highlights.
