Lake Bled
Lake Bled is a glacial lake in the Julian Alps in the northwestern part of Slovenia. It is Slovenian Alpine Pearl. After a panoramic ride around the lake, we will make a short walk along the lake and take free time to taste world famous "Bled cream cake".
Ljubljana Old Town
Ljubljana is the cultural, educational, economic, political center of Slovenian and European Green Capital, independent since 1991. During the tour you will see the old part of the city. There are located the most interesting buildings and monuments such as The Town Hall, The Triple Bridge, the Franciscan Church, the St. Nicholas Cathedral, the Francesco Robba Fountain and many more.

5.00We had a great day trip to Lake Bled and Ljubljana. This is a great trip to do as a shore excursion from a cruise ship, and you get to see much more than on similar excursions provided by the cruise ship. Karmen was our guide and she was terrific. She was very friendly and gave us a lot of info about the area and the people. HIghly recommend this tour and Karmen!

5.00Excellent tour with Marco. He was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide without being overbearing. Rained all day on us, but Marco did great job of accommodating the 4 of us. Highly recommend this tour. Ask for Marco!!

5.00A great tour! A perfect way to see much of Slovenia in a day. We spent the right amount of time at each location. We enjoyed the beauty of Lake Bled and their local pastry as well walking around the beautiful city center of Ljubljana.

5.00We booked this private tour just 2 days before our port day in Koper after our other tour cancelled on us. Marco was waiting for us off the ship and off we went to Lake Bled. It was a great day and he helped us figure out the best way to spend our time. We visited Bed Castle, got Bled cream cake and saw the beautiful views of the lake. We then headed to Ljubljana and enjoyed walking around the old town. Marco told us lots of Slovenian history and facts, it was a great day!

5.00Our guide, Primos (spelling?) was outstanding! He shared facts and stories about the places we visited and modified our tour when we were too tired to do much more walking. He is rightfully very proud of his city, Lyubljana, and made us feel like we were visiting a friend showing off his hometown. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you for a memorable day!

3.00Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He gave us a lot of great information on the country. My only issue is that Lake Bled was too far a drive from the port (110min) for what we did. The boat ride to the island was lovely but not worth the long drive. Ljubljana was a lovely city and definitely worth the visit. It was just over an hour from the port.

5.00Our guide Poilez, was right outside our ship ready to take us. He spoke great English and was very informative. He suggested an itinerary to maximize our time. Everyone had a great time and we were back at the ship in plenty of time! Would definitely recommend this tour group.

5.00Istranka's tour made it possible for us to see both Lake Bled and Ljubljana during our cruise stop in Koper - our cruise ship could provide excursions to one or the other but not both. We had great pre-tour email communications with Ivan, who quickly and smoothly confirmed our reservation and whose kiosk was as promised impossible to miss as we left the cruise terminal, and Marco was a terrific driver and guide who was perfectly flexible with us as we visited Lake Bled and Ljubljana. Our group of two retired couples was very comfortable in the minivan, and our strolls at both tour stops (and nice breaks for coffee and a local lunch) were delightful, with time to enjoy the beautiful lake scenery and a surprisingly gorgeous city, and great commentary and advice (like don't miss the local specialty, cream cake :}) from Marco. Very well done!
