With regards to the differences between boat and shore diving, we would highly recommend shore diving for your course experience. With shore diving, we have greater flexibility to complete skills at your own pace (the boat tour is a fixed time period), and the gradual descent on the shore dives versus the deep water entry for the boat dives allows more inexperienced divers to feel comfortable and adjust to the experience at a more relaxed pace.

With over 20 amazing locations along the Jordanian coastline and many of the sites extending from the beach, Aqaba the perfect place for learning to dive. The Open Water Course consists of knowledge development (in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving, confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills and open water dives to use your skills and explore! At our dive centre we teach this course in Arabic and English, over a 3-5 day period. The price includes: • International PADI certificate • Full diving equipment • Instructor full time • Confined water dives • Open water dives • Round trip transportation from the Dive Centre to the South Beach dive sites via car • Water during excursion

The decision to go scuba diving was probably the best thing we experienced in Jordan, especially with Shark Bay Drivers. The whole crew including our awesome guide Farid was very helpful and patient with me and tons of my questions. We originally had 1 dive planned, in the end we scuba dive 3 times and I am already planning an Open water course. Thank you for the experience, we will definitely be back soon! Bara & Klara
