The Mt. Everest Base Camp is a dream goal for the vast majority of the trekkers and explorers around the globe. There were a few endeavors to make summit to the Everest for leaving impressions on the famous base camp of Mt. Everest (5364 m) like the legendary Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay- Mt. Everest climbers.

Everest district is thickly populated by Sherpa ethnic communities. Amid the Everest base camp budget trek, it will surprise you with stunning mountain landscapes of the Himalayan range as you enjoy it from the lap of the world's most astounding pinnacles. A few other Himalayas over 8,000 m. that are viewed during the trekking are - Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), and the locale similarly brags other glorious mountains like Mt. Nuptse (7,855 m), Mt. Thamserku (7,723 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), Mt. Amadablam (6,856 m), Mt. Kantega (6,685 m) and Mt. Lingterin (6,679 m).

Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (8699ft) Walking Distance - 8 km

Flights to Lukla

Fly to Lukla (commercial flight Tara, Summit or Sita Air), start your trek to Phakding. After short flight to famous Lukla airport we start our first day of the trek with about 3.5 hours to reach Phakding.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar (11283ft) Walking Distance - 10 to 12 km, Duration: 6 hours

Namche Bazaar

Having breakfast at Phakding, we commence our trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.).The trail goes along the right bank of Dudh Koshi. Thamserku is standing majestically skyward on the opposite bank. We then reach Bengar. The trail now climbs from the riverbed on the left bank into the mountain, through a forest to Chumoa. We continue along the trail with many ups and downs; cross a stream, and pass by the tiny village Monjo. We then come to Sagarmatha National Park Service where a park entrance fee is to be deposited. We follow a short walk along the riverbed of this V-shaped valley where the river forks Dudh Koshit to the right Bhote Koshi to the left. Now we begin steep ascent to Namche Bazar. On the way, we would have excellent views of Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m.).Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazar (3440m) is a central hub of the area for food, trekking gears and other necessary goods.

Namche to Tengboche (12660ft) Walking Distance - 10 to 11 km, Duration: 5 hours

Taking breakfast at Namche Bazaar, we would be heading towards Tyangboche (3867 m.). The trail goes ahead leaving a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Kosi. In this section too, we would have a panoramic view of the Himalayas such as Ama Dablam (6812m), Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7855m) and Tawoche (6501m). We would visit Trashinga, Phunki Tenga and reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche offers a good view of sun rise and sun set at Everest and Ama Dablam.

Tengboche to Dingboche (14464ft) Walking Distance - 11 to 12 km, Duration: 5 hours

We trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4260 m.). Leaving Tyangboche at the backdrop, we descend through a rhododendron forest and enter Deboche. Crossing a suspension bridge at Imja Khola, we head towards Minlinggo and inter Imjatse Valley beneath the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Lhotse. We finally come to Dingboche.

Dingboche to Lobuche (16105ft) Walking Distance - 11 to 12 km, Duration: 5 hours

It is our turn to head towards Lobuche from Dingboche which is situated at a distance of five and half hours normal walk. The onward trail is gentle up to Pheriche village. Along the trail, we would be privileged to have panoramic views of the Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokalde (5741m), Kongma-tse (5820m) and the great wall of Nuptse. We would have lunch at Dugla (4595m) and trek to Lobuche. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Lobuche to Gorakshep (16990ft) - Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft) and back to Gorakshep, 14 to 15 km, Duration- 8 hours

Having breakfast at Lobuche, we trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5140m.). It is the most rewarding section of the trek. Our trail winds up through rocky path and Khumbu glacier. The view of Nuptse, Lho-La and Khumbutse appear at a stone throwing distance. Visit Everest Base Camp and come back to Gorakshep. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Gorakshep - Kala Patthar (11283ft) then trek back to Pheriche (4210m/13810ft) - 13 to 14 km, Duration - 7 hours

We trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and trek to Pheriche (4243m.). Early morning, we get ready to climb Kala Patthar (5545m.) and enjoy the view of sunrise. We would see Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more from Kala Patthar. Himalayan Rescue Association Aid Post is available at Pheriche. Foreign volunteer doctors are there to provide medical treatment. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Pheriche to Namche (11283) Walking Distance - 14 to 15 km, Duration- 7 hours

Namche Bazaar

It is our turn to trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m ). It takes about four and half hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Tyangboche. En route we will visit traditional villages like Khumjung and Khunde. We will be visiting monastery that has Yeti Scalp. Finally, we come to Namche Bazaar in the late afternoon. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Having breakfast in the teahouse at Namche Bazaar, we trek to Lukla. It is the last day of our trek. Lunch will be served on the way. Upon arrival at Lukla, we would get refreshed and take rest. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

We board our early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at TIA, we would be received by our representatives and transfer to hotel. In the Evening Farewell dinner will be served in Bhojan Griha, a typical Nepali restaurant.

This trek has been a once in a lifetime experience. Mohan is the best guide, Welcome Nepal Treks is the best tour operator. They are all so kind and also flexible to your needs. My best tip is to book this tour together with Chitwan or other relaxing activities to get the best out of your Nepal trip. Thanks guys !!!!

I went on the 10-day short Everest trek in Feb 2024 with Padam dai as our guide, and it was an outstanding experience! Padam's extensive expertise, valuable advice, and patience made our experience so smooth and achievable. Our short Everest Basecamp Trek with Padam was phenomenal. Padam is a man of many talents. On our trek he was our guide, storyteller, doctor, and much much more. He became our brother who we quickly came to trust and be friends with. The Everest Basecamp trek boasted many great and different sceneries including forests, rivers, temples and of course the Himalayas. We also enjoyed the slightly quieter off-peak season even though it was a little bit colder. We could not have imagined any better trekking experience. Everything was sorted for us so we only needed to do the hike and enjoy the Himalayas.

In August 2022 i booked this trip for the end of Oktober, beginning of November. The company that organized this trip was ‘Welcome Nepal Treks P.Ltd’ the moment i booked and everything was comfermd one of the two owners contacted me by Whatsapp. This was already two months before the trip even started. The owner was extreem helpfull with all the questions i had. I needed to know some little things about vactinations, Covid-19 regulations, the booking and about the trip. All my questions were answered even before the trip started. Pick up at the airport was on time and there i met my guide for the trip aswell. The owners and guides are super helpfull and willing to assist you with everything. I didn’t have a porter, but got the option if i wanted one. The trip was good, had a amazing time and if i wanted to change plans or do something else aswell.. that was no problem. The guide does the logistics aswell on the trip and even the weather was good. I saw the Mount Everest Basecamp and watched sunset at Kalapather aswell. That was amazing! The owner asked me meanwhile if the trip was oké and just kept me updated. The day i came back the owner welcomed me back. Back at the hotel there were some small logistic problems, but within 5 min de owner rearranged something else and problem solved! The owner and the hotel work together, so that’s nice. Both owners are amazing people and really want to help you with everything! I had some questions and a requests after the trek and they helped me out on that aswell. Two hardworking owners and the good quides deserve at least a good review. I can reccomand the company and the trek. It was amazing!

Welcome Nepal Treks took care of everything for my EBC trek. Assigned Anjan to me as a guide who was superb, explained the sites and kept me healthy...slowly slowly to be safe. Welcome loaned me some gear without charge (which I just increased the guide tip). Teahouse rooms fine, pricey at top. Anjan saw to my success, encouraged me and kept me safe. Porter services supplied were also great. I would use Welcome again.
