  we did the birding tour with Moisés. He found 42 different species of birds. A very knowledgeable guy and a good eye for the birds. I fully recommend this tour.

  My friend who is crazy about birds booked this birding experience with Eddy. I have never been on a guided bird tour before so wasn't sure what to expect. We ended up seeing 61! Different species. Both my friend who is an experienced birder and myself a newbie enjoyed the experience immensely. My favorite were the Aracari, Toucan and MottMott. Plus he kept an eBird list for us so I could go back and review what we saw later. We even saw monkeys! Breakfast was delicious! He knows his birds!

  We booked with Eddy after seeing all the amazing reviews. After a slight change of plans, and our complete understanding that life happens, Eddy could no longer make our arranged day. However, he was quick to suggest an alternative plan and we ended up going with his colleague and friend, Moisés! The experience with Moisés was absolutely FANSTASTIC!! His knowledge of the different bird species, the plant species was incredible to witness. He must have super powers when it comes to spotting birds! We saw a total of 50 bird species, 35 of which were in the first 1.5hours of the tour! He taught us some Mayan, which was truly an honour. We also went to the Muyil Archeological Site where we saw more birds and enjoyed the beauty of the ruins around us. The entry fee for that is 145MX/person (~$12cad), and then to walk down the boardwalk from the sites to the lagoon was 50MX/person. We finished off with lunch at a lovely restaurant where we had delicious tacos and refreshing drinks! Would 100/10 recommend this tour; and if Eddy suggest Moisés, say yes to the change!   Our birding trip with Eddy was exceptional and I'm still pinching myself after seeing the two target species I was hoping to see plus dozens more that weren't even on my radar. We saw over 50 NEW species in 3 hours. We saw Green Jays & Turquoise-browed Motmots & Collared Aricaris & a Keel-billed Toucan. The list goes on. I would have overlooked or missed most of these, and been unable to identify the rest of them, without Eddy's keen eyes and ears. We followed up our trip with a delightful breakfast at a roadside cafe that served us a lovely breakfast. I recommend this experience wholeheartedly.

  Eddy is terrific. He knows his birds, where to find them, and can locate them by sight and sound. At one point there were about a dozen species in one location, and Eddy was able to point them out so that everyone in our group could see them (he uses a laser pointer to assist, but never points directly at a bird, which was incredibly helpful). We saw more than 50 species in 3.5 hours.

  Eddy was absolutely incredible. Our group of 5 friends (a few experienced birders and two brand new) had a wonderful time exploring Sian Ka'an and the local community. We saw over 60 species in a single morning, and Eddy was fantastic at describing the birds, helping us locate them so all could see, and giving us a bit of Mayan culture and local knowledge. The breakfast/lunch spot he took us to was also incredibly good. He also picked us up and dropped us off at our AirBnb in town which gave our group some flexibility in travel arrangements. The tour started at sunrise, and lasted for about 4 hours when the birds started napping. We went to a few different locations, and ended on the boardwalk through the jungle near the lagoon. One important birding note- we did not do a boat tour through the Lagoon, so we were focused on jungle/forest edge. We didn't see any water birds aside from a Grebe and Kingfisher. If you are looking for Shorebirds perhaps discuss with Eddy locations that might support that. I would highly recommend this guide for anyone staying in Tulum or surrounding area.

  My friends and I had a fantastic time on our Acari Birding tour trip. Eddie is incredibly knowledgeable, a great communicator, and the perfect guide. We saw over 60 species and learned a great deal about them.

  What a fantastic morning! Eddy is outstanding guide, he knows all the species and really helps you to find them with your binoculars. And breakfast was great!

  This was a wonderful tour. Eddy is an incredible guide and knows all the birds by sight and sound. This is a great tour for novices looking to learn more or for experienced birders looking for lifers. Eddy goes above and beyond to help you see the bird and get the best camera shot. My husband and I had a wonderful time!
