  Eddy is the best. Super knowledgeable and passionate, and kind. Saw more than 50 species, including toucans, a motmot, and pygmy owls. And local mayan lunch was perfect! Highly recommend a tour with Eddy!! There are so many regions here in Quintana Roo and the entire Yucutan Peninsula. You could have many days of birding with Eddy.

  After a boating excursion got cancelled due to potential weather, my partner and I booked a last-minute ticket for the birdwatching tour with Eddie. If I had known beforehand what I know now - the birdwatching tour would have absolutely been my first choice!! It was truly a magical experience. Eddie is so passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife, he surpassed all of my expectations. If somebody would have told me that by the end of my trip I would have seen Toucans, Mot Mots, Trogans and Tityras I wouldn’t have believed them. But Eddie was able to help us spot those, and many more, with relative ease throughout the tour. After a few fruitful hours of birding, we ended the outing with lunch at a delicious local spot. Although my partner isn’t as much of a fan of birding as I am, he was enthralled with the experience and left with a newfound appreciation of our feathered friends. I really can’t recommend this tour enough! I will remember it for the rest of my life and am incredibly grateful I got to experience this. If you’re considering booking this tour - do it. You won’t regret it and will leave feeling enriched, mystified, fulfilled, and more knowledgeable about a beautiful culture and a beautiful place. (Plus you’ll add all kinds of unique lifers to your list!)

  Thanks Eddie, for a wonderful morning of bird watching, you are so kind, patient and always wanting to provide us with the best experience (Helping me to find the birds with my camera for the best shots). Your knowledge of the local area and mexican birdlife is really impressive. We will definitely be recommending your services to our biding community back home in the UK.

  We had an awesome half day tour with Eddy, he has a great eye for the wildlife, great patience as we are not experts, he didn't rush us at all, was on time at our pick up, we always felt safe, and his driving was brilliant, honestly folks I'd recommend Eddy everytime, and when we return we will join him again

  Information and arrangements with local guide was quick and easy. We had to pay extra for the transport to/from the hotel with Eddy which did make the tour more expensive than originally planned, but as we were the only 2, it was a private tour throughout and better for us. We had some torrential rain while at the mangrove area, so didn't get the target species in that area. We went for breakfast then headed back as rain going off and managed a few more species. Eddy was able to spot and identify many species quickly and ensured we could see, identify and also photo as many as was possible. Overall a good morning, was a little bit expensive, and hampered with the rain, but guide adapted and was helpful throughout.

  My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful day with Eddy and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Mexico. I would recommend to everyone! We saw 80 different species of birds, that Eddy kindly kept a list of throughout the day and sent us for our records. We visited several different kinds of habitat so that we could find different birds. His knowledge is astounding and it was quite something to witness his ability to recognise all the different calls and identify the birds, I was really quite blown away. He was so helpful when pointing out the birds, he used a laser light to point to the tree or area to help us spot the birds. Whether you are a full blown twitcher or just someone who enjoys being out in nature, Eddy will tailor the day to you. He tailored the day completely to our requests, including picking us up in Tulum and dropping us off in Coba, which helped us moving through our travels. We had a fantastic stop at Sian Ka’an lagoon and canals for a boat trip and floating down the canal - a must do! He also took us to a fabulous local restaurant and we had a delicious meal and cold horchata. Most of all Eddy was just a lovely guide and person to spend a day with, he is Mayan and lives in Sian Ka’an, so it felt really wonderful to be able to learn from him about Mayan history, culture and language.

  We went to Tulum in September 2025 for a brief weekend trip and one of our top priorities was to go birding to see some of the local ecosystems and wildlife. My wife, my stepson's girlfriend, and I were all new to the Yucatán and we couldn't have picked a more perfect local guide than Eddy. We went out for a morning birding trip and were extremely impressed with Eddy. He went out of his way to accommodate us and has the heart of a true educator who loves to share his passion for birds. A very skilled naturalist and birder, Eddy was extremely knowledgeable about the local avifauna. Not only is he passionate about birds but he clearly cares about people and was extremely friendly and generous. His background in tourism made him a superb guide and his family heritage helped us gain insight into the local Maya culture with its deep local roots. Honestly the only thing we were sad about was that with our time constraints that we only had one morning to spend with Eddy. We would definitely hire him again for future adventures!

  If you want to expand your life list with some unique local birds, look no further. Eddy Eddy’s got sharp eyes and ears for birds. He caught one of our target bird toucan flying across the highway as we drove out for the tour!

  Eddy's amazing! It was really worth it to go birding with him. He knows a lot about all the birds out there. It was very nice to witness your relationship with the birds/area: your familiarity and your respect. I look forward to returning to Tulum, mainly to go to other places to see birds with him.
