With the chef of Loredana you will have the opportunity to prepare with your own hands a real Sicilian menu in a convivial and joyful atmosphere. You will discover particular techniques and stories related to tradition. The lesson lasts about 2 hours. At 11.30 am there is a break to visit the bell tower of Messina, which is just a 7-minute walk away. Participants, on their return will find lunch consisting DA dishes prepared by them.

The workshop starts at 9.30. Participants will cook with the guidance of chef Loredana an authentic Sicilian menu. At 11.30 am participants can go to the nearby cathedral to see the bell tower and return to enjoy lunch prepared by themselves

A perfect morning in Messina!

Chef Loredana and her assistant, Lora (not sure if I spelled that correctly...) were absolutely wonderful. We prepared pasta alla Norma ( we are told that is the most famous dish in Sicily), eggplant parmesan, handmade macaroni and red sauce. Our daughter in law even figured out how to make two macaronis and one time! Chef Lore also made a surprise dessert for us - homemade tiramisu. Moto delizioso! After about 3 hours in the kitchen, Chef Lore told us to visit the astronomical clock in Messina Cathedral. We got there exactly at noon time, there was a crowd of about 100 people to watch the clock perform its' "adoration of the shepherds" schedule. When we returned to the restaurant our lunch was ready to eat. Everything we made, plus a bottle of Sicilian wine (we recommend the Syrah!), tiramisu and espresso. My wife is a trained chef herself, and she even learned a few things! Messina is only 45 minutes away from Taormina, where we were staying. If you are in the area I would highly recommend spending the morning/lunch with Chef Lore and her staff. Grazie mille a tutti!!!

It is a pleasure to see Loredana at work, a great chef, as well as a great teacher who transmits to her students all the passion she has for cooking. Super organized, friendly and helpful, cooking with her is a fun and formative experience that ends with tasting delicious dishes. A real pleasure for the palate!

This experience was the highlight of our Mediterranean trip! Chef was so kind and sweet and we learned so much from her. Our meal was absolutely sensational, as well as the visit to the Clocktower at 12 o’clock noon. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

This cooking class was excellent! My friend and I came off a cruise ship for a day and couldn’t have chosen better for our Sicilian experience. Loredana was so gracious - the meal we made was so delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, filled with original art. After cooking together in the kitchen and a tour of the clock tower, we shared our meal family style for great conversation, laughs and wonderful memories made. I’ll be back again with my husband next year, and will be highly recommending this experience to all my friends and family back home!

They are so friendly and well-knowledgeable! Took us step by step through traditional Sicilian cuisine art! We felt like family to them! We learned, we laughed, we feasted! Looking forward to taking all that we learned back home to surprise the rest of our family. Would definitely come back and bring others! If you’re in Messina, you must stop by even for a meal at Loredana’s restaurant!

We had a lovely half day at the restaurant and not only learned a lot about Sicilian cooking, but were warmed by the hospitality of our hosts. Not a huge group thing so we were able to talk about culture, share stories and ask questions through our time together. Bring an appetite as well, between the snacks, meal and wine we were stuffed.

This was easily the best and most memorable activity of our 10 day cruise across Greece and Italy. Loredana and her staff are incredibly nice, welcoming, and talented. If you do not like to cook you MUST come visit and have a meal at the restaurant! The food and ambience are exactly what you would be looking for in a local Messina (sicily) experience.

We attended Loredana’ s cooking class few weeks ago. We loved it. She speaks very good English and she explained very carefully how to do some of the most famous Sicilian dishes . It was everything very clean and she was very careful to separate the tools for vegetarian people. We had lunch after that and the food was just outstanding. Fresh , simple, flavourful. We loved the experience!

We had the absolute best time with loredana and Laura! We only had a day to spend in the area and decided to book this class last minute and it’s been the highlight of the whole trip! She taught us some incredibly delicious but simple to make meals that we’ll definitely be making again when we get home. It was a small intimate class which was so much nicer than the usual overcrowded tourist traps. We’ll 100% be doing it again if we’re ever back in the area and highly recommend it for anyone looking for something to do in Messina.

The chef and sous were awesome guided us to making good dishes and we had a great intimate experience! The husband was a great artist and his art displayed through the restaurant was a nice treat as well.
