A tour of the longest siege in modern warfare. This tour will try to explain the life of a besieged city, the most important events and battles, the political and strategic situation and tell the history on why and how did the war start and end. We will visit Tunel DB, sniper nest, and the bobsled track.
From 1992 until early 1996 Sarajevo was completely cut off from the rest of the world. This tour will show you the history, politics, strategy, aims and madness of the longest siege in the history of modern warfare.
How did Bosnian army form? How strong was aggressors army? How did the siege start? What were the worst atrocities? What was the role of international community? How did the citizens of Sarajevo defend themselves? How many projectiles were fired on the city daily? Answer to these and many more questions is in this tour.

5.00I went on a group trip through my university for 9 days with our tour guide Kenan. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Bosnia and he made our trip an experience of a lifetime. He took us all around the country and told us stories in every place we visited. Kenan went above and beyond by showing us the city after hours, and even taking us on a ski trip on his day off. If you are considering touring with Highlander Adventures, DO IT! You will not regret it.

5.00A magnificent country with a rich and endearing history. Sarajevo is the most emblematic city I have visited so far, it is beautiful and indeed the Jerusalem of Europe. In addition, the guide explains the history of the city and the country very well, he knows Bosnia perfectly. So I recommend you to visit Bosnia, the city of Sarajevo, passing by Highlander Adventures;)
