Your day begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive (50km) from Siem Reap to the sacred Phnom Kulen National Park, the birthplace of the Angkor Empire. Explore the mountain’s spiritual and natural wonders, including the River of a Thousand Lingas—where ancient Hindu carvings of Vishnu, Shiva, and other deities adorn the riverbed—and the stunning two-tiered Kulen Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip. At the summit, visit the iconic Reclining Buddha, a revered stone statue. After a picnic lunch amid nature, journey back toward Siem Reap, stopping at a traditional Khmer village to immerse yourself in local life: sample palm wine and sugar (seasonal), try handmade snacks, and observe crafts like weaving or rice farming. You’ll return to Siem Reap by late afternoon, with time to relax or explore further.

5.00We had heard great things about Phnom Kulen and wanted to add it. What initially drew us to Travel to Inspire was the added opportunity to support education since 50% of the profits go in that direction. After booking with our guide, Thom, we were more confident in our decision. Prior, he readily responded to questions we had leading up to the trip and he confirmed with ua details the day before. On the day, he picked us up on time with a bright spirit and a cool car. He was knowledgeable, kind, and open to discussing all of the questions we had. He took us to so many local food/snack locations. AND he took some amazing photos. As the tour went on, he added a few additional stops based on what we were discussing (and even helped me get some Cambodian rice). Overall we were very pleased with the tour and the company. Thank you, Thom, for everything!

5.00Great trip - Thom arrived on time and kindly provided water, some local snacks and some cool towels. He was very knowledgeable and informative, and very patient and helpful as i had broken a bone in my foot so was slow and he was very kind and assured me not to rush. He took some great photos!

Everything was well-organized and exceeded my expectations. A special mention goes to our tour guide, Thom. He was absolutely outstanding—punctual, informative, polite, patient, and very accommodating throughout the entire trip. Thom shared fascinating insights about the history and culture, answered all our questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged. 5.00Was a great day out. The views were spectacular and the visit to the temple was well worth it. Enjoyed the swim at the waterfall. the day flew by. Our guide Thom was exceptional and very accommodating. He was knowledgeable and gave us a good insight into the life of the local communities.

5.00Thom was an incredible guide for our tour today! We tried local foods together and he interacted with all of the locals and told us what they were saying. We stopped at the 1000 Linga and Thom gave us such interesting insight into the history. After, we went to the local primary school and got the chance to say hello to some of the kids which were adorable! We went to a temple after which had the reclining Buddha statue. Thom gave us each a lotus flower to use as an offering and we got the chance to strike the gong while he told us about the beliefs behind the practice. After leaving the temple, we had a blast swimming at the waterfall and an amazing lunch. Lastly, we went to a temple which is in ruins and covered with trees - truly breathtaking! Thom and our driver were kind enough to provide us with ice cold water and clothes after each stop and even dropped us off directly at the airport. The care taken by Thom and our driver today was incredible! They allowed us to immerse ourselves fully into the culture, interact with locals and support them directly.
