  A real discovery of a unique part of Cambodia: floating village built on stilts due to high water levels from the rainy season. The small boat ride was interesting near sunset, going through the mangrove.

  This is a very and varies tour. It visits village and school which was quite enjoyable. Sarum was a terrific guide who spoke good English. He explained everything about. Pillage and market life. Well organized. Would recommend

• Disappointing and Misrepresented Experience

  This tour was very disappointing and not what was advertised. It was sold as a sightseeing experience, but it felt like a sales route with lots of waiting time. A “10-minute” stop at a shop turned into about 20 minutes to push people to buy things. At the “floating forest,” you have to pay extra. We did not, so we had to sit on a stopped boat for about 20 minutes waiting for others. The listing is misleading. It is not a small group (30+ people). The “modern air-conditioned vehicle” was an old bus with barely working AC and no visible seatbelts. On the boat, there were no life jackets visible or provided, which is a serious safety issue. The guide spoke English, but stood far away and there was no audio system, so most of the time we could not hear him. The sunset is shown as part of the lake experience, but it was actually at a restaurant by the edge of the lake, not on the boat or on the lake. Overall, this tour wastes time, has safety problems, and does not match the description. I would not recommend it. 2 stars only because they got us there and back on time (but we were lucky to be the last to be picked up and the first to be dropped off)

  The most important thing for me was I couldn't hear the guide talk on the boat. ..he stood at the front, so no one at tge back could hear anything. The time on the Tonle Sap fresh water lake was disappointing. I thought we'd be out there for the sunset. Instead we were stuck back on the pontoon that sold food, drinks and souvenirs.

  Very much worth it, good driver, good guide, amazing place to see and experience, and just imagine how much you would pay in the western world for an activity like this. Everything was great and totally worth it if you are in Siem Reap. 100% would recommend! :)

• Floating Village Tour

  I went on the evening floating village tour and it was well worth it. We stopped at a village and learned about the place and the people. Then watched the sun set over the ocean which was absolutely beautiful. Nan was a great guide and was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had.

  The floating village is very interesting and unique, I would definitely recommend visiting it with this tour. I read many reviews before, and was a bit afraid it would be scammy and a money-making adventure only, but it wasn't the case at all. It was really focusing on an educational experience and wasn't trying to sell us stuff, despite being a bit mass touristy. I don't think we could have seen so much if we had gone on our own. Nan, our guide, was really kind and helpful, he answered all our questions. The optional/additional small boat ($11 for a couple) was the best part of the trip for me. I only wish there were other timings for this tour as well, because it seems like everyone goes for this afternoon sunset-watching tour, which makes it a bit crowded with tourists. I wouldn't mind not seeing the sunset. It was nice, but so is every other sunset. I would have preferred more time to roam around in the village instead when there are fewer groups there.

  Very interesting place to see. You have to pay extra for the boat, that was not properly explained upfront. I would still recommend it

  From pickup to sunset, a well-planned tour that could give us a good impression of how people can still live in remote stilt villages in the middle of a lake today. Only the constantly begging children sent by their parents would not have to be. This makes you sad, but the tour operator can't help it.
