Discover some of the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding Granada, and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the old city from secret viewpoints.
On the tour, travel by 4x4 vehicle along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Arabs, towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. Reach an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 feet, for amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula.
Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevadas to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters, including the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula, Mulhacen which is named after one of the last kings of the Alhambra.
Learn about the geology, biology and history of this region where Arabs, and Visigoths lived. Finally, visit a mountain hut at 2500 meters(8000 ft) of elevation where we will have a drink with beautiful views, and enjoy one and half hours of free time there to walk, eat or relax.

5.00A truly wonderful experience. Expertly led by our guide,, and driver, for the day. We carefully made our way on small winding tracks up to the high altitude ski area surrounded by some of the highest snowdusted mountains in Spain. Along the way stopping to chat about culture, landforms, mountain plants and their edible and non edible berries. We saw Iberian goats and their long curly horns. We shared the small group tour with some delightful other participants. A must do.

5.00Day trip into the mountains with several stops & mini-hikes. Be prepared for weather changes, as the temperature drops & wind rises as you climb to the highest elevation. Amazing views with detailed information about the flora & fauna & geography of the region. Daud was an excellent guide.

5.00A wonderful experience to get out of the city into the mountains. Our tool guide (vulture his nickname) was so knowledgeable in everything to do with the country - the history, the nature etc. We would highly recommend this trip.

5.00Take this tour! This was one of our favorite experiences during our two weeks in Spain. It’s worth taking a day away from being in Granada for this 7-hour excursion (8:30-15:30) where you have multiple stops to see beautiful views and be immersed in nature. We appreciated the stops to see different aspects of the area and enjoyed the varying temps at different altitudes. We highly recommend layers as it gets increasing colder the higher you go, even on a sunny day. The group size was perfect with 8 plus our guide, Daud. We were in a Mercedes sprinter van, which handled the off-the-beaten path roads very well. Daud drove slowly and carefully on the gravel mountain roads and even though there were some narrow spots, this was not off-roading or dangerous. We did some short walks to get to a few views and the last hike was about 15 minutes of steep hiking, but was optional since it was at the restaurant we stopped at for lunch. Daud was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. We learned about plants, animals, and geology throughout the tour. He was very conversational and made a full day fun and energizing. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00Escape the city and explore the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mtns. Our guide Daud had excellent local knowledge and kept us informed along the way. A scenic drive to the top of the mountain. We were lucky as we had a blue bird day... spectacular scenery. A few short walks, a coffee stop, lunch break. A lovely group of tourists who bonded nicely over the day. Definitely recommend this tour.

5.00It was refreshing to get out of the city and see a natural side of Granada. Our guide, self-nicknamed “Vulture,” was a kind and knowledgeable emissary of the mountains, explaining political history, botany, geography and sharing personal anecdotes. The day felt peaceful and relaxed as our group of eight made several stops on our way to 8,000 feet where we stopped for a delicious hot lunch (not included in the price). After lunch there was time for independent exploring; my husband and I took a short hike to the summit. We highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in adding layer and depth to a quick look at Granada and the surrounding area.

5.00Fantastic experience. 4x4 to the top of the mountain with a very knowledgeable guide. He told us all about the plants, animals and geology of the area. We got to the top in time for the sunset which was fab. You might need a jumper or a coat for the very top!
