Discover some of the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding Granada, and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the old city from secret viewpoints.
On the tour, travel by 4x4 vehicle along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Arabs, towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. Reach an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 feet, for amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula.
Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevadas to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters, including the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula, Mulhacen which is named after one of the last kings of the Alhambra.
Learn about the geology, biology and history of this region where Arabs, and Visigoths lived. Finally, visit a mountain hut at 2500 meters(8000 ft) of elevation where we will have a drink with beautiful views, and enjoy one and half hours of free time there to walk, eat or relax.

5.00Nature and outdoors. The tour showcases not only its rich and vast valleys. Up and down winding narrow dirtroads, there are flora that thrive in the wild - rosemary, chammomile, margaritas and thyme. As an Asian,it was my first time to see how an almond tree with its fruits looked like. In the valley, there are aqueducts built by the French. Science and physics were applied then - I figired out how water can travel from one source to another. The alps are just as majestic. Though thinned because of global warming, the snow capped mountains, up close bear a light hie of red - dust blown away from the Sahara Desert. The sunset is so beautiful. Our tour guide Jaime, was really good.

5.00We had a truly memorable experience throughout this evening with our incredible tour guide Carlos. We were pleasantly surprised to have Carlos share with us so many physical elements of the region - plants, rocks, animals, and even farmhouse ruins - which truly made the local life and history of the region come alive for us. We loved his enthusiasm and passion for teaching us all of these fascinating details. And he was an incredibly safe driver, which was very appreciated since the roads were windy and at times remote. We highly recommend this tour (and Carlos!) if you want to spend enjoyable time exploring the nature and terrain of the Sierra Nevadas. 5.00I did this tour solo, Carlos was the best tour guide!!! He was a very safe driver and we did quite a bit of off roading (and experienced the area like a local) we saw goats, horses, cows, abandoned farms++. Carlos was very knowledgeable about trees/plants/rocks it was very cool history!

5.00We had a wonderful day exploring Sierra Nevada National Park with Carlos. He is an excellent guide who displays great knowledge of geology and fauna, as well as expert driving skills! It was fun to travel up the back roads to the mountain and Carlos made us feel safe and secure. We highly recommend this tour!
