Take this unique private tour in one of the world’s best kept secrets: the Viscri Village. It’s considered a UNESCO monument, and even Prince Charles has bought a house here. It’s houses are colored in blue and white, and it’s fortified Church watches over the village. It’s a place where time seems to have stopped.
In the second part of the trip, we are heading to the heart of Sighisoara, the last inhabited Citadel of Europe. Take a walk on it’s cobbled streets, narrow paths and colorful houses. The Old Town Square is an area protected by UNESCO. It’s medieval architecture comes from the Saxon people, who came here in the 1100s. They also built many mighty towers, each named after one of their guilds. If you love the medieval history and are passionate about finding out more, Sighisoara is the best place for you. It’s also the birth place of Dracula, also known as Vlad the Impaler.

Start the day heading north through the beautiful hills of Transylvania, to one of the best kept secrets of the Saxon land. Viscri, a UNESCO monument, it’s as charming as the story goes. With its blue and pastel colored houses and a white fortified church that survived the centuries, the village is worth traveling the extra miles from the main road to explore an amazing place where time seems to have stopped in a different era.
Sighisoara
Continue the exploration and head to the small town of Sighisoara, one of the seven Saxon cities in Transylvania and also a UNESCO monument. With its quaint location on top of the hill, the old citadel is barely touched by the time. Explore the narrow streets and the amazing sight from the top of the Clock Tower. Enjoy a short break on one of the small terraces of the old city, while the 300 year old statuettes of the old clock, keep the time and announce you when is time to head back to Brasov.

5.00A fantastic day visiting a couple of Saxon villages. Ramona was our driver/guide for the day, and she was great. The conversations to/from the villages from Brasov were engaging and illuminating. The towns, especially Sighișoara, were a sight to behold. Ramona made sure that we visit the main sites and provide excellent historical context. There was time to explore and shop on our own.

5.00Dinu was our guide for the day and he was wonderful - very knowledgeable, personable and great conversation. We visited Sighisoara and walked up to the church, went into the watch tower, had a wonderful local lunch in Viscri. Overall a lovely day.

5.00We had an amazing tour with our guide Dino. He was very friendly and we had great conversations in the car en route to the destinations. He goes the extra mile to make sure that it's an amazing experience. In Sighisoara he even helped and changed a bit of the schedule to find a specific store. He guided us to an amazing place to eat and made sure we were enjoying all of it. I can 100% recommend it!

5.00We drove to Sighisoara which took about 1.5 hours through the nice countryside / through a few villages. Our guide Ramona was very knowledgeable and friendly - answering all of the questions we had about the area. The highlights include the fortified church at Viscri, the food at the barn restaurant we visited, and walking around the shops within the fortified walls at Sighisoara. I highly recommend
