You'll arrive at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once there, you'll take a short journey through the volcanic, moss-laden fields of the park. Here, you will listen as your friendly and experienced PADI Divemaster guide.
Later, you'll receive all of the necessary equipment for snorkeling in Silfra, including neoprene hoods and gloves, a thermal drysuit, snorkel and fins. The equipment will keep you buoyant throughout your time in the fissure, as well as offering a protection against the water.
Once in the water, your eyes will meet the incredible shades of blue so prevalent in the fissure, as well as the natural under-water flora canyon walls. As you are swimming you will have the opportunity to swim across continents, as you will be switching back and forth from the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. After the tour GoPRO pictures will be sent to you by email for free.

Have read, signed, and followed directions on the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement Form –https://troll.is/medical). You can sign the form at the meeting location.
Be comfortable in water and be able to swim.
Communicate in English at the time of the tour.
Be physically fit.
You must be prepared to wear a dry suit (tight at the neck) to protect against cold water; please note that slight water leakage around the neck and sleeves area may happen, and that is considered normal.
You must be a minimum of 135 cm and a maximum of 200 cm in height and weigh between 30 and 140 kilos along with being physically fit.
You must be a maximum of 69 years of age to participate in this tour. If you are over 60 years of age, you need a medical waiver, available on page 2 of the Medical Statement.
You must be a minimum of 12 years of age to participate in this tour. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
If you are over 45 and partake/have partaken in pipe smoking or heavy alcohol intake, you need a medical waiver.
Please note that should you have any neurological, circulatory or respiratory problems or underlying diseases, battled any illnesses or have any physical problems you might have to turn in a physicians allowance to participate in this tour.
This is a self drive tour, you need your own car to arrive to the meeting point, please note there are no public buses to reach the location.
Standard snorkel masks don’t fit over glasses. We recommend bringing contact lenses for the best experience.
Silfra gets very busy in summer. That's why we recommend booking our earliest morning or late afternoon tours.

1.00DO NOT USE THEM. They have stolen my money and refused to speak to me directly. They did not properly inform me and my husband about no glasses for a snorkeling trip. We asked questions an hour before when we saw the gear required for the trip. My husband cannot see without his glasses and we booked on viator which does not inform you of any glasses restrictions. I have spoken with Amanda, Leah, Michele, Ines, they have all told me a manager would be in contact with me. For three days this manager has avoided contacting me. Oh and I’m on my honeymoon and I’ve wasted HOURS on the phone to now be ignored. All they need to do is approve my refund for Viator to give it back. VIATOR is more than happy and completely understand the misunderstanding and want to make things right. For three days I have had a customer service agent answer within two minutes and now I’ve been on a waiting line for over a half hour. It is clear they are avoiding me and want to get paid for doing absolutely nothing. I have emailed several times requesting to speak to a manager and no one has returned an email of a call. I am disgusted with this treatment.

1.00My wife and I scheduled the snorkeling experience in Iceland. We read the description over and over nothing mentioned eye glasses. On our way to the meeting point we were told no eye glasses in the gear as they wouldn’t work. We paid $300 on our honeymoon for an experience we could not do. They refuse to give us our money back. We have been on the phone calling customer service our entire honeymoon to get our money back and they keep saying the manager isn’t in office or in a meeting. This was not our fault we did not have this information, and to be told on site day of with medical paperwork is unacceptable and for them to refuse a full refund due to their own negligence in not giving the information prior. As I cannot see without my glasses this is one of the first things we looked for in the listing. We will continue to call daily until we can refunded. No one has $300 to spend for fun. We have been stolen from and want our money back. Also when we discussed this issue we were spoken to unkindly and brushed off by one of the instructors at troll experience. They had no interest in our dissatisfaction and any sort of help with a resolution. Seriously I would highly recommend not using this booking service.

4.00We booked with troll for a second experience because the instructors / guides shared our passion and love for outdoor pursuits and that makes a massive difference in this industry. HOWEVER!!! It may be the Britishness or just overall common courtesy but being delayed due to a large group turning up late was not appreciated. Once they turned up there was no sense of urgency from them other than to get warm. We arrived on time as stated in the instructions and got ready, assisted by the instructors but we were still waiting nearly an hour after that before we finally set off due to this groups appalling lack of time keeping. Lilian our dive master (instructor) was amazing, incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. He kept things light hearted and fun even though we had to wait around for the other group and then them behaving obnoxiously - splashing around and kicking fins (contrary to what was briefed). An amazing experience to do all things aside and Lilians recommendations afterwards were spot on. You can choose your tour but not the others on it.

The dry suit kept me warm, and our guide (Lil) was friendly, professional, and made everything feel safe and well-organized. A must-do activity in Iceland. Highly recommend!

5.00Knowledgeable tour guide great way to spend a birthday. Unfortunately pictures weren't as good as I thought they would be would of definitely taken my own go pro also to of got more personal shots.
