  Giacomo is well prepared, enthusiastic and very passionate about what he does. His tour provided very interesting facts, all whilst portraying them in a fun and engaging manner. (very) easy walking. Full five stars for this tour not just for visitors but locals like us! An evening well spent! We will surely join his other tours.

  I loved the weaving of a real person’s stories from the past coming to life literally before my eyes and in my imagination. The guide was so knowledgeable and the time flew.

  We were looking for something different/interesting but still with history mixed in and found this tour. We were not disappointed, in fact we were impressed. Our guide, always in character, weaved a tail of knights, pirates and ladies of the evening that brought the history of Valletta to life. Passion for the material and enthusiastic presentation made for a wonderful evening. Well worth it.

  Short overview: 10/10 would recommend and do again. This is an in depth review! This tour was such a wonderful experience from begging to end. Starting with the most helpful messages from WhatsApp, with information on where to meet, and supplementary information for the tour. Our guide, Giacomo, helped a couple who was lost by phoning them and guiding them to the group. During the tour he was very engaging. You could participate, or just watch, he was very supportive of either choice. Giacomo was also a skilled actor, who wore a fun costume, and would tell history from the perspective of a specific person. It was a unique way to tell the story, and thoroughly enjoyed. The tour took you through some major points in Valletta’s history, and was very informative and fun. He was funny, and made history very interesting. 10/10 can’t recommend enough for a fun, informative evening!

  An exceptional experience with Malta Themed Tours! Our guide was passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about the subject. The tour themes are a refreshing change from the usual tourist circuits. I highly recommend it if you want to discover Malta from a different perspective. Thank you for such a memorable visit!

  A different view ( and an entertaining one) of some of Malta’s history told through the experience of a “Corsair”. The tour was done with great humour . Would recommend the tour. Great value for money.

  Great tour! We already did some museums in Valetta, but the story of this tour is a different one. Way better! The tour guide Giacomo already sent us a message by WhatsApp at booking. The tour was nice and also relaxed. No haste. We were asked to participate, but no pressure at all. We could ask all kinds of questions. The tour itself was very cool. Our family loved it!

  A fantastic way to see an authentic look at the history of Malta from the perspective of an ‘in character’ local. The guide was enthusiastic and entertaining with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The walking was comfortable on the walkways and streets of Valetta. If you want an honest look at Malta by night, do yourself a favour and book this tour.

  We went on a group tour and Alonzo was great! I think that’s what his characters name was 😬. He had lots of patience with the group and was super mindful. I definitely enjoyed it! Learned a lot. I loved the light he put on women of the past.

  So much more fun than I could have imagined! Giacomo is clearly an expert and very passionate about Valletta. He explained a whole lot of history in a short period of time in a way that was engaging and at times, downright hilarious. He doesn't shy from difficult truths, and handles the legacy of the city with respect (if a bit of irreverence at times!) The walking is broken up into bite-sized amounts, and there is a story for every corner. A great mix of significant historical detail and entertainment.
