Go on a gastronomic journey of Singapore’s street food in Chinatown, a lively area that effortlessly blends old traditions and new styles.
At 5 pm, start your culinary adventure with a succulent meat snack grilled over charcoal that follows a secret recipe which has been passed down for generations. Then sample a savoury "carrot cake" or Char Keow Teow, a popular side dish that stands out due to its simple yet flavourful ingredients.
For the main course, indulge in the scrumptious dish of soya sauce chicken with rice and peanuts from the first Michelin Star Hawker stall in Singapore.
End the excursion with a decadent treat at a renowned dessert shop. After the tour wraps up, you can return to your hotel from Chinatown MRT Station.

Your first stop is a store specializing in bakkwa, jerky-like meat, slow grilled over charcoal with the same secret recipe handed down from generations ago. Savor the honey sweet, appetizing bakkwa or get a pack as a take-away souvenir. Stroll around a little more past the various small stalls that sell a plethora of tropical fruit, including the king of fruits, Durian, as well as fresh seafood and daily goods.
Continue onwards to a hawker center and explore the myriad of food stalls before tasting either “carrot cake” or Char Keow Teow. Warm up your appetite with this popular side dish that uses the simplest ingredients. Your main course of the day is at the first street-level Michelin stall.

5.00This tour was a ton of fun! We visited a few restaurants, stores, and stalls all within a short distance of Chinatown station, ate some classic dishes and some delicious fruits too. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the culinary history of Singapore.

5.00Alfred was a great guide providing lots of information on Singapore and the food but also having fun along the way. There were 5 on our tour which was a great number and we all enjoyed the food, info and company. Don’t eat before as plenty of food on the night.

5.00Our guide was informative, entertaining and kept us laughing in between food stops. Only three total guests and we all were impressed, and quite full by the end. Even went extra by taking us underground to the subway station. Highly recommend.

5.00Grace has an infectious style, her knowledge and passion shone through. A good few food stops and heritage included. I would definitely recommend this tour, but wear elasticated trousers.

5.00Lots of food and drink. Started slow with a taste of pork, thinking we were going to get little bits of food, but turned out that we had sugar cane drink, dim sum, a local carrot dish, then went to Hawker Chan for the famous chicken a d noodles, then to another local coffee shop for coffee. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us much about life in Singapore both past and present.

5.00Grace was a great guide. Knowledgeable and friendly. Food was excellent. Perhaps a little too much! We didn't have room for one of the best stops - the roasted meat and rice from Hawker Chan. Overall I would recommend this tour.

5.00Come hungry !,,, more than enough food, great variety….do this at beginning of your Singapore trip so you are well versed in what food to order for the rest of your visit . Our guide Joseph also included so much history of the area that it was like an educational food tour ❤️

5.00Carol did a great job choosing food for sampling, showcasing local specialties along side the famous Michelon starred Hawker Chan soya chicken. We enjoyed the small restaurants, shopfronts and bustling atmosphere of the hawker center. We chose this tour for the Michelin tasting, 5 instead of 9 stops, and because the start time was 5 pm! Although it advertises 5 tastings, there were many more. Guide provided water for everyone. She infused the walk with information about local customs and history of both Singapore and Chinatown and answered everyone's questions along the way. Group size of 8 was fine. Absolutely recommend. Come hungry!
