This tour starts at the Little India MRT station and proceeds to Tekka Centre, a bustling market where everything from fresh produce to clothes and electronics can be found.

Visit a spice shop to learn about different kinds of spices used in Indian cooking. Try the famous roti (flatbread) and teh tarik, as well as some traditional Indian sweets inside this lively market.

Next, crossed the road to see a flower shop, where beautiful garlands are made by hand. You’ll have the chance to try making one as well! Then, make a photo stop at Tan Teng Niah, a colourful Chinese villa that stands out among the various shops.

Finally, visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore where you can take in the spiritual atmosphere and admire the intricate sculptures and paintings inside.

It was a wonderful experience with Dawn! She had a warm and gentle aura about her. She was very patient and diligent when going through the entire tour. She had so many recommendations outside of the tour as I had some previous knowledge of Indian culture so she tailored the experience within the means of time and my newness of being in Singapore. Thank you Dawn for the lovely experience.

This was a great tour with Kim who was very knowledgeable about the history of Singapore. We started in Chinatown and had spring rolls , pancakes and kopi ( coffee) then headed to Little India on the MRT. We visited the temple and had a delicious lunch in a restaurant which was busy with locals, always a good sign! Would definitely recommend, in fact have just booked another tour with Discova in Chiang Mai.
