This is the only desert park in Kazakhstan, where you can see many different landscapes: sands, tugai forests, floodplains, conditions, mountains. At fairly close distances, you can observe rare animals living in unstable conditions, goitered gazelle and kulan. As part of the project, three tourist routes have been developed, equipped with signs, gazebos, observation platforms, and parking lots: Dried ocean Aktau mountains, Singing dunes and Katutau frozen lava.
Please note: This tour is not suitable for children under 6 years old due to long travel times and the nature of the itinerary.

Aktau Mountains
We will drive out to the bottom of the Ocean to explore the Chalk Mountains of Aktau. Here is schedule for the tour: 5:30 am Pick up time 7:30 am Quick stop to WC/market 9:00 am Bashi village/Enrence to national park Off-road way to first location 10:00 am Arriving to Aktau mountains 12:00 am Departure
Katutau Mountain
Next we will stop in the volcanic mountains of Katutau. Unusual rock forms, created by nature. 12:30 Arriving to Katutau 13:10 Departure to the village 13:50-14:30 Lunch

5.00We had an excellent experience on this 2-day tour. Everything was very well organized, and the guide, Sayazhan, was knowledgeable, highly responsible, full of energy, and very friendly. She shared fascinating insights throughout the journey, making the trip both enjoyable and informative. Kassym was not just a driver but also a guide—safe, professional, and very informative. He made even the bumpy off-road drives feel easy and comfortable, pointed out interesting spots along the way, and shared helpful local knowledge that enhanced the experience. On the first day, we explored the beautiful Aktau Mountains and stayed overnight in Basshi village, which offered a wonderful and authentic local experience. On the second day, we drove across the incredible Altyn-Emel National Park to visit the Singing Dunes, a truly unique and unforgettable highlight—the dunes really “sang.” The entire journey was safe and comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy the stunning landscapes. Overall, it was a smooth, memorable, and highly recommended tour.

5.00Our trip to Aktau Mountains and the Singing Dunes was truly memorable, thanks to our tour guide and driver Sayazhan and Kassym . They were very responsible, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy throughout the journey. Everything was well-organized, and we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We enjoyed the stay at Basshi village.

5.00The tour was great, the scenary is breath taking. Besides, Mr. BEK , the tour guide was very attentive and helpful to assist my friend who had knee pain. He speaks good English and communicates well with the tour members. Of course, the driver drove safely to ensure our safety.

5.00I may have booked this tour last minute. But it was a highlight of my trip. Kazakhstan Very Nice, the tour operator, was easy to coordinate with on the booking and pick up details. Amina, our tour guide, was also great. She showed extensive knowledge of the places. She also provided alternative hikes with varying difficulty to enjoy the locations. She was also a very supportive guide. Totally recommend.

5.00Amina is a really good tour guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable!! She explains everything in detail and she really shared a lot about her Kazak culture and history which was extremely fascinating!! The 2D1N tour’s pace is good as it allows for more time at each place. Most of the time, we were alone because we didn’t have to rush. The locations were breathtaking and I had so much fun. Oh and the guesthouse was cosy and the food was awesome. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!

5.00The tour is long and amazing , we were small group of 4 travelers plus our guide and the driver total of 6 , Our guide Asem was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the whole trip , she explained to us all the history and the traditions of Kazakhstan and the places that we visited, thanks to her and the driver our trip was amazing and unforgettable, i definitely recommend this tour as a must see things in Kazakhstan, thank you Asem for everything 🤗

5.00This trip was so much fun, and made it worth coming to Kazakhstan. The landscapes are beautiful and so worth the long drive. Our guide Aya for the day was amazing. She is very enthusiastic and answered all of our questions. The driver also has a very keen eye and pointed out lots of gazelles for us.
