Let down from guided tour to self guided

2.00The Alhambra palace was great place to visit, however our guided tour was swapped the day before to a self guided one. I wasn’t very happy & unable to cancel as booked it as not able to cancel. My tip would be don’t book with the conditions you’re not able to cancel, book direct with the Alhambra Palace.

1.00Unfortunately the tour was cancelled 20 minutes before the scheduled time. The tour guide had a car accident and they didn’t have an alternative guide. They offered a tour at the end of the day but we had a train to catch to Cordoba. Thankfully we were able to book with another company at the last minute. Hope the tour guide wasn’t injured in the accident.
Misleading, palace not included!

2.00Very important—this tour does NOT include the Nasrid Palace, which is the whole point in coming to see Alhambra. Also, make sure you go to the right meeting location! (Hint, it’s not at the entrance to the Alhambra.)

2.00We pay for guided admission. The day before, we're told there's no guide. In the end we do the tour with audio guide that is very brief and this treatment seemed unserious. We won't recommend it.

1.00Although we booked 4 months in advance, Viator canceled our 3 hour guided tour (they hadn't sold enough) and replaced it with two other times we couldn't make or an audio tour which consisted of 13 1 minute sound bites. The office agent told us we were LUCKY??? to have any tour and my wife had to argue with them to get some sort of refund (got back $5 per person which was insulting) The audio tour was as close to useless as you can imagine... I don't care what Washington Irving would have felt while he walked through the gardens!!! Information about how, why or when would have been far more appropriate. You RUINED what should have be a spectacular day.

5.00Ana was very knowledgeable about the Alhambra. It was nice to have a guide who is deep rooted in Granada and passionate about the history. It was very easy to find the office, obtain our tickets, and meet with our guide. I highly recommend using them for this tour.

1.00I repeat…DO NOT BOOK with this company. Our tour was cancelled at the last minute due to “lack of participants”. In its place we were offered an audio guide tour with no change in price or refund. When we asked if we could be moved to the next day for a guided tour we were told we would have to pay for that tour again and it was a different price. There was no empathy or even an attempt to rectify the situation, to the point of rudeness. We felt stuck so we took the audio guide option which was horrible. We had to supply our own earbuds and some of us didn’t have any. It was too loud and too crowded to listen openly on our phones. The audio guide kept kicking out of our phones so we had to constantly reload it and start over and then what we could get was very poorly narrated, did not give a lot of information, and provided no direction on how to get to the next point of interest. From the guided tours we were able to listen to around us there was a vast difference in the information we received. We were very much looking forward to a live tour and got a pathetic replacement and horrible customer service instead. In retrospect, this tour did not include the Nasrid palaces. If we did it all again, we would book a tour that does include the palaces as they are the most interesting and beautiful sites of the Alhambra.
The guide was an hour...

3.00The guide was an hour late, and we were informed about it 10 mins after our scheduled time. So we lost an hour with nothing to do in the cold. Also we have had better guides in the past. I would look elsewhere next time I was to book.
