  Our guide was more than patient with our group. She gave us a complete description of the history and secrets of Alhambra. I learned so much which is exactly why I signed up for a tour.

  Alhambra is very interesting and beautiful. Our guide, Anna was incredible. Very knowledgeable, charismatic, passionate.

• Avoid at all costs! Outright fraudsters!

  I would give this a 0 if I could. I booked this tour hoping to smooth out the trip since I was travelling with three kids. The tour is non-refundable, and I did not realize how big a mistake I had made till the day of the trip. I paid close to $300 for the group which was to include a Skip-the-line ticket and a guide. About 24 hours before the tour was to begin they send me an email saying my tour at 3 PM next day was cancelled, and I had two choices, either get an audio guide, or do a private tour. I responded saying my tour was at 12:30PM and not at 3PM. They responded back saying they meant 12:30PM. Since the tour was non-refundable and I was struggling to get to Granada from Barcelona with all the problems of the Spanish railway following the accident, I said okay we will do the audio guide. When I get to their office next day they give me tickets that are less than $100 in total, and a QR code to scan for the audio guide. I ask the guy at the desk why the tour was cancelled, and he makes the excuse that the guide met with an accident, and I could still get a guide if I agreed to pay €10 extra per person. If this is not outright fraud I do not know what is. Also, Skip-the-line would no longer work since I was not going with a guide. When I book with an agency for a guided tour I expect a guided tour, not a QR code to scan and listen to some pre-recorded messages. So I ask the guy at the desk whether I would get a refund since I was not getting either the Skip-the-line or Guide that I was promised. He said no, but I could get a €5 discount per person if I cancelled the Viator ticket and paid them directly! I have travelled to dozens of countries and have done a fair share of organized tours. Even the cheapest ones were more honest than these guys! Avoid at all costs.

  Unfortunately, the highlight was the Nasrid palaces not included, as no longer bookable. Visitors should be good on foot, it is steeply uphill to the Alhambra and in total it was 15 000 steps through the Alhambra and Generalife.

  A great way to learn about the Alhambra, Ana was terrific, excellent English. Three hours was a perfect length.

• Not worthy for the price. Play Granada just wants the money,

  They put me with an itinerary that was not what was promised. Please read well and ask questions before reserving. They are not clear and then you can’t even cancel. Very pricey and not worthy. Just after I reserved, someone from play granada reached out to sell me another ticket because the one purchased didn’t include the palace even though it was very expensive and they didn’t let me then change it - just literally a second after, (Scam) Then, the coordination of the “guided tour” didn’t go with the entrance to the palace and was put in a scheduled that we couldn’t use. It was a total mess. (Lost about $200 at lest). They hook you with one thing to sell another thing and they don’t care if you can use it or not. Be careful. Use another company. Very bad experience for the money. They ended up giving a self guided app which didn’t work because of the internet connection in the area and they didn’t even care to explain how to use. Run away from Play Granada- a big NO!

  We had booked a guided tour and at the last minute they moved our tour from 3 pm to 10 am which prevented us from getting a proper tour. It is not an inexpensive tour and the audio guide was awful. Hard to follow and not informative and you have to distract those around you to use it on your phone.

  Sandra was a very friendly knowledgeable tour guide- worked very hard to make the tour fun even with sleet! 😃👍
