The castle, of course, was amazing but I enjoyed the Folk Park. Starting in medieval times, there are a variety of building depicting the time and background. My favorite was the village shops/street from the 19th century. There were performers and animals and a playground for kids as well as a beautiful garden.

Aim to spend at least 3-4 hours here. Great guided tours of the castle with some exhilarating walks to the topviewing different rooms up there. Some great exhibitions to see in the I dividual that he'd houses all depicting life from ages past.A very good cafe with good choice of wood. Walks through countryside with great views and then on to the folk village which was tremendous

Visited the castle and folk park before the medieval banquet. It was enjoyable, although very touristy. It is a huge property with lots to see. Castle was beautiful and interesting. Dungeon was neat. Small folk town had shops and a pub. The manor was cute and the walled garden was the highlight. Had fun interacting with the Bobby as I was put into handcuffs and then give a ticket for drinking. Overall, a fun experience we would recommend to all!

The medieval son put this park on the list of our Ireland road tour and we were not disappointed: The narrow corridors of the castle and the faithful furnishings of the rooms including nice staff were very interesting. Although the buildings are brought together from different parts of the country and come from different eras, the whole looks like a "grown" village. The restaurants and souvenir shops also fit in well and do not seem intrusive to buying junk.

Great experience, once we got there from the cruise ship in Foynes, but was very difficult to arrange transportation.
