Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)

Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.
ST.PETER'S BASILICA TOUR – Includes St. Peter’s Basilica but does NOT include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.

Meet your tour guide at our office, located in the oldest neighbourhoods of the Vatican, Borgo Pio. Following a self introduction by your guide, you will walk through the charming shops of the Borgo, as he/she shares some local tips for eating and site seeing in Rome, including off the beaten track sites that you must visit during your holiday! Some background will also be provided on the history of the Sistine Chapel (we do it here as the chapel forbids noise and travellers are expected to observe silence once entering).

Admire the flags and surrounding embassies as you walk through this street, which serve as the primary access point to St. Peter's Square, and by extension, to the Vatican City itself.

1.00Did not come with entry to the basilica as advertised and was not informed of the change until we showed up for the tour. Don’t waste your money, nothing is “guaranteed” on this tour. Tour of the museums with the guide was boring and crowded, not a good experience overall.

1.00Our guide, Barbara, was very difficult to hear, understand and follow. The ear piece given to us to hear her through wouldn't stay on the ear and no one could hear through it since there was so much other noise in each of the indoor spaces we 'toured' through. The guides accent, although speaking English, was very thick. Other people on the tour also couldn't understand her. We were shuffled quickly through spaces smashed on all sides by others on tour groups and the main focus was trying not to lose the guide. Some people on the tour did get lost and we all had to wait for awhile for the guide to find them. It was noisy, crowded, stuffy, and frustrating and the guide seemed annoyed at several points when people didn't keep up with her. We didn't have ear pieces for sections of the tour and during those times had no chance to learn anything. Despite the title, the tour ended abruptly outside the Basilica and neither me nor my 3 friends had any idea where to go our how to get out. This experience was very disappointing, especially since we'd just gone on a tour of the Colloseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill booked through Viator the day before that was 5 stars, without a doubt.

1.00They told us when we got there that they would not be showing no the Basilica because it was “closed” and offered no monetary compensation for the bait and switch. We also walked to St Peter’s after the tour was over and they definitely were letting people in. The tour guide also was not very engaging and did not care if the earpieces were not working properly.
Definitely get skip the line tour! Great time

5.00We had an easy meeting point with the group for check-in, toured the Vatican Museum, Sistine chapel and St. Peter's with an EXCELLENT GUIDE MARCO! We loved skip the lines and the shortcut over to St. Peter's. Beautiful place and artwork! Worth the cost
