Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)

Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:

Meet your tour guide at our office, located in the oldest neighbourhoods of the Vatican, Borgo Pio. Following a self introduction by your guide, you will walk through the charming shops of the Borgo, as he/she shares some local tips for eating and site seeing in Rome, including off the beaten track sites that you must visit during your holiday! Some background will also be provided on the history of the Sistine Chapel (we do it here as the chapel forbids noise and travellers are expected to observe silence once entering).

1.00Let me start by saying this is the only one star review I've ever left on Trip Advisor. I've been so fortunate in all of my travels to experience fantastic service until now. We booked the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour for a Wednesday morning with Viator. It was a small group tour which was over $200.00 USD. When we started the tour we were told that we would not be able to tour St. Peter's Basilica because the pope was hosting an audience which he does every Wednesday. I am not sure why Viator would sell a tour knowing that we would be unable to complete half of the tour. Instead of St. Peters, we were shown the "Raffael Rooms". That is not what I paid for. I specifically booked this to see St. Peters. I did contact Viator asking that they refund half of my money as we only got half of a tour. They had the opportunity to make it right but declined to do so. I'm very disappointed in the service and cannot in good faith recommend booking through Viator. The rest of our tours will be booked with Get Your Guide.

5.00Loved the tour we had with Marco. He showed us all the main highlights of the tour and gave us time to take photos and ask questions. He also gave us very clear instructions on what to do with St. Peter’s Basilica and where to go depending on what we wanted to do after we finished viewing the Basilica at our leisure.
