A fascinating tour from Naples that will give you the opportunity to visit an ancient roman town like Pompeii, explained by a professional guide (2 h. 30 min), investigate the amazingly preserved infrastructures and artifacts. You will then drive up to 1000m of Mount Vesuvius which nearly destroyed the town in 79 A.D. Take the last 200m meters by foot and enjoy the panoramic 360degree views from the smouldering crater.

Great tour and series but the lunch that was set up was quite possibly one of the worst meals we have ever had. We felt pressured to eat with the group and would not recommend eating at Zeus to anyone ever.
2 must do visits in 1 day

Luigi, the local guide at Pompeii, provided interesting information and great spots for photos while we walked around the Pompeii ruins. Roberta, our tour leader, was organized and very personable. A climb up Mt. Vesuvius allowed us to see the crater and the surrounding landscape from the top of the volcano.

A really well-organised tour, thank you! We started the day meeting Isabella outside the Star Hotel Terminus. We were driven in a comfortable, modern coach to Pompeii, Isabella gave us lots of interesting information on the way. At Pompeii, we were met by our guide who took us on a two hour tour, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of our tour we were returned to a pizza restaurant just outside Pompeii, which also had a cafe and souvenir shop. After re-fuelling from our two hour walk around Pompeii we were driven on the winding roads up to Vesuvius by our very skilled coach driver, Isabella provided lots of interesting commentary again. We were given time to walk to the top of Vesuvius to admire the views. We were then returned to Naples. A wonderful tour, I would highly recommend it.

There were about 20 people in our group initially with an additional 10 or so that joined our tour at Pompeii. Patricia was an excellent guide for Pompeii. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and it's history. Isabella (organizer) and Carmine (driver) were also great to deal with and more than fair with the time restrictions given to our group. When we reached Vesuvius, the bus stopped about 1000m from the peak - wear good shoes! The hike up is steep and takes about 25-30 minutes each way - take water with you. You'll be glad you did. The stops along the hike offer souvenirs and drinks, and they aren't ridiculously priced, but take euros if you don't want to have to spend a $10 minimum for cards. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. We walked about 7 miles that day in total.
