• A Must-see Place but no need to skip the “line”

  Definitely a must-see and a great bookend experience to the Darwin Conservation center in Puerto Ayora. So many tortoises! Knowledgeable guides. You do not need a skip the line ticket though. Like most everything we experienced in Ecuador, there were NO LINES for anything. You can just buy tickets when you get there. Arch a can from Puerto Ayora and have them wait while you explore the park. It costs about $20 for the round trip. The lava caves were also very interesting.

• Incredibly Large Land Turtles

  This tour is peculiar because in this place, we can observe the giant terrestrial turtles and photograph them freely. This species is especially very large and impressive. There is also a restaurant, snack bar and souvenirs shop.

• Do not buy tickets in advance! There's no queue.

  This was probably worth a visit, as we were able to see giant sailboats and lavatunnels. Still, it is not worth buying tickets in advance for $9 per person, as tickets on site cost $10, and we still had to pay $5 in addition to this ticket on Tripadvisor. Just recommend going there and not buying a ticket in advance. This Tripadvisor offer is only more expensive. We felt deceived.

  This is a great place to visit with an enormous number of tortoises. If you want to see these animals this is the best place to. One and see them. We went on other tours and this was far far far better.

• Amazing Experience but the the reserved tickets are a scam

  Do not book these tickets through Viator. They do not get you into the reserve. El Chato Ranch does not recognize these tickets and you will have to pay at the park again, which by the way is only $5 a person.

  Never did I expect to see huge long neck tortoises that are really old mating. That was a once in a lifetime experience for sure. Well organized with nature guide who took us thru the turtle area and then down into lava tunnels. Very interesting.

  This ticket/excursion is totally unnecessary and I'm shock that its on Viator since I've only had good experiences with the service until now. There is absolutely no wait once arriving at El Chato and guests still had to pay full admission to park. Extremely disappointed.
