BOOK IT!!! This was an awesome day trip. My husband and I have been in Romania for almost a week and have taken multiple day trips with multiple different companies and this was by far the best. Idan was our guide and absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed great conversation, great history in his stories during the trip, and the Salt Mine was beautiful! Idan also showed us multiple hidden gems like a 150+ year old well that still works, beautiful countryside (which he knows all about) and lunch at a local home where everything was homemade by the host. Amazing tour, highly highly recommend. (I also was on crutches and he really helped me out all day, super accommodating and kind… plus his knowledge of literally everywhere we went was really cool to learn about.) If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate any further. We had an excellent time!

A highly recommended experience. We have already been to other salt mines in Poland but, in my opinion, they exceed them. To say that we had a rental car, so we did not go with any organized excursion and it was perfect for us like this. The mines are impressive. It is advisable, I think, to do what we did, by buying the ticket online and adding the priority access. There was a good line, but we went straight in, not waiting almost a minute. 200 meters downhill in a bus along an underground road and... wonder!!! It is to be amazed, it seems a lie and, that, it is definitely worth a visit. I recommend visiting it quietly. We were inside for two hours.

A terrific full-day tour with Aidan who took me back in time to visit the charming villages of the countryside complete with the peak fall colors in the mountains. Expertly organized and deeply knowledgeable about Romanian history, politics and geography I couldn’t have asked for more. Btw the salt mines are extraordinary.

Idan was a great guide! He picked me up outside of my hotel on time. He knew the route very well and all of the establishments we went to. He has a good personality and spoke Hebrew as well as English for the attendees. Was very knowledgeable and attentive to all of the questions and kept everyone engaged. The Salt mine was on my list of things to see while in Bucharest and I am glad I went to it. You will see many other cool things as well an old Romanian village with animals.

This was a special and unique experience unlike ones we would be able to experience in America. Idan was a great guide and helped us get to attractions before the crowds which we really appreciated. We learned a lot about the people of the villages and their way of life. We got to visit the salt mine, got great pizza in a fun little village, and got to checkout a small rural property with some locals!

After having a wonderful day trip with Idan to Brasov, Bran and Sinaia, we ordered another day trip to Slanic salt mines and picturesque villages. The trip, as expected was very interesting, full of information and hidden gems. The salt mines were amazing and the villages were beautiful. We had a lovely experience in old villages and visited a gypsy's house, which gave us a unique view to the locals' lifestyle. The guide made us a very good cup of coffee next to a beautiful lake.

A fun day trip. We visited the charming salt mine, we learned the way of life in the villages where the locals live as they did 200 years ago. A highly recommended trip - a professional guide, pleasant walks and most importantly funny and makes the trip the most enjoyable.
