Predjama Castle

The Predjama Castle reigns over the surrounding area, perched high up in a vertical cliff, not far from the Postojna cave, in the idyllic village of Predjama. It is an interesting and romantic sight throughout the year: in the spring and summer its surroundings are abundant with blossoms and flowers, in the autumn it is clad in the colours of surrounding forests and it is at its most enchanting in the winter when the surrounding area is covered in snow.

Really great tour if you want to cover a lot in one day. The Postojna Caves were absolutely amazing, and welcome relief from the heat of the outdoors. Predjama Castle was also a unique experience even for those who have been to many castles before, and very well laid out. Lake Bled was beautiful and the trip by Pletna boat was a nice way to see the island. I did not go into Bled Castle although it looked very impressive. I opted to spend more time by the lake, which was peaceful. Jan from Slovenian Explorer Tours was a knowledgable and personable guide, taking time to answer the many questions from our group about Slovenia. Having been on other tours in Slovenia, I'd also say that Slovenian Explorer Tours were the best tour buses - comfortable and also the tour operators had microphones so you could actually hear what they were saying as they were driving. I'd highly recommend this tour.

Yuri was a really nice guide. Very patient with our hodgepodge group of 8 (3 groups that didn't know each other). The van was comfortable, and the AC was amazing (it was pretty hot outside). Loved that we were able to hit the highlights in one day.
