Discover the Slovenian coast and the Karst region. The first stop is the UNESCO listed Skocjan Caves, one of the largest and most fascinating Karstic sites in Europe with the Reka River running 200m below the surface. Next stop in one of the local taverns with the famous Karst air-dried prosciutto tasting, accompanied with the local wine Teran – produced only in the Karst region. Short stop at Lipica, the homeland of the white Lipizzaner. Pass the coastal towns of Koper, Izola and Portoroz to reach everyone’s favourite spot on the Slovenian coast – Piran, where you can get lost in its medieval narrow streets and houses and enjoy some free time.
One last stop at Predjama Castle on the way to Ljubljana. Discover the secrets of the largest cave castle (Guinnes World Records!), located on a 123-meter high cliff, and learn about the local Robin Hood, the legendary knight Erazem.
Return to Ljubljana in early evening hours.

1.00The Skocjan Cave is an awful, dangerous place to go. The ground is slippery and there was nothing exciting to see. A complete waste of time and money. Piran is just an ordinary little fishing town.

5.00Jan was punctual, leaving the RDV site at 8:30 am with a total of 5 passengers. We alone stayed longer inside Skocjan Cave because of an emergency. Jan was very patient and promised not to miss or short anything on the itinerary. The commentary was clear, relevant, and relatable. He recommended an unique lunch venue -- memorable Fritolin Pri Cantini in Piran. We never would have found it on our own. The final destination was Predjama Castle, a remarkable example of a huge castle cut into the karst side of a mountain. Unbelievable! Jan returned us safe and sound at 6:15. He made this excursion satisfying.

5.00Loved this tour! Cave very cool. Still don’t understand why you can’t take photos in it. No one could tell me why—without a flash, there is no damage to anything. Piran was wonderful! We all wanted to stay longer (2 hours was not enough). Really just drove thru edge of Lipica.

5.00Such a lovely day out to see the coastal vibe of Slovenian. Firstly the caves are amazing, don’t really know what yo expect initially but wow, the caves are a sight to see, no photos so you just experience it. Piran is a lovely coastal town, very italian coastal vibes as a old Venetian town. Plus our driver and guide was wonderful.

5.00A packed and varied programme which would be impossible to do independently in a day. The stunning caves were the highlight (although you have to be nimble to manage the terrain and stairs!) - all the sights were rewarding/fascinating/enjoyable.

5.00Had a great time on this trip, but due to weather predictions we changed the order of activities so that we got to the coast before it rained, saw the cave which is the most incredible one I've seen to date, saw the horses but unfortunately missed the show due to time rearrangements but lastly, the best part was our wine tasting excursion to a small family winery who treated us very well with wonderful wines and charcuterie board. Anna, our guide, went above and beyond.

5.00This was the absolute perfect day trip from Ljubljana! It covered all the sights we wanted to visit without us having to worry about driving and parking. We especially loved the Skocjan Caves! We had a small group of only 5 people, and 4 of us decided to do the long route through the caves. We never felt rushed. The 2 hours spent in Piran was the perfect amount of time to get lost in the streets and have lunch. We also loved our guide, who provided a lot of history and information about the Karst region.
