5.00This tour was a peak experience. Great guide (Yogi) who took extra effort to make sure everyone was okay with the altitude. Great pictures, unbelievable sunset above the clouds, and the star gazing was just amazing. Dress warm!

5.00We recently took the Twilight Volcano & Stargazing Tour with Wasabi Tours, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island! Our guide Dreu was absolutely phenomenal. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and had the perfect mix of educational information and classic dad jokes that kept everyone entertained throughout the day. Between stops, he filled the drive with interesting stories, local facts, and a fantastic playlist that made the travel time fly by. The scenery was nothing short of spectacular. From the volcanic landscapes to the stargazing experience, every stop was breathtaking. One thing we quickly learned is that the weather can change dramatically throughout the day. We started in bright, sunny conditions and ended with wind and rain, so definitely follow the recommendation to bring layers! If you’re able to request a guide, I highly recommend asking for Dreu. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and sense of humor truly made the experience memorable. As Dreu would say, “Tings to consida!” Mahalo Dreu for an unforgettable adventure!

5.00This was easily one of the highlights of our trip! The volcanoes were awe-inspiring, and the star-gazing experience was absolutely breathtaking. Derek's expertise, enthusiasm, and friendly personality made the entire tour even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

5.00Dreu was fantastic. Spent 12 hours with best tour guide we’ve ever been part of. Whole day was exciting opportunity to see and learn about history and culture of Hawaii. Informative, engaging funny guide… we were never bored. As with any tour on the islands, you can’t trust the weather but Dreu and tour had enough flexibility in their schedule and approach to accommodate and flex as needed. Pack for cold and wet experience… Will do this again.

5.00We had a great time with our guide Derek! He was very knowledgeable at all of the stops: the coffee farm, volcanoes national park, and the astronomy of Hawaii. The little stops along the way at the black sand beach and the bakery broke up the longer parts of the drive nicely and allowed us to see some of the local spots. We had cloud coverage during our tour and didn’t get to see the stars, but a volcano eruption and Derek’s information on the evolution of stargazing in Hawaii more than made up for it. This tour is a great way to see a large part of the island and get a taste of so much of what it has to offer!

5.00The van had nice big windows for viewing the scenery, and Derek gave a wonderful tour, telling fun jokes and stories along the way. He kept the kids and all of us entertained and made it a well-paced, relaxing journey! We had the right amount of time at each stop and particularly enjoyed the black sand beach. A sea turtle and apapane even cooperated for a photograph. The sky was cloudy, but Derek made the best of it and found us a break in the clouds to catch a couple stars.

5.00Such a fun and informative trip! Derek our guide was outstanding and made it so much fun. We had a mixed group from my children (5 & 8) to my father in law (80) and it was fun and engaging for everyone! We loved the time in volcano and the mix of experiences for everyone!

5.00It’s a long tour so that’s something to be mindful of if you have younger kids. Other than that it was really really fun. Our tour guide Todd was really very energetic, fun and humorous. He shared lots of very interesting information during the tour. He had warm coats and rain coats for different parts of the trip. He had snacks and water bottles. He was totally prepared and everything went very smooth. The van was very comfortable and we spent enough time at each spot. We got to see volcano eruptions as well. Overall highly recommend. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes as some parts of the tour can get very cold. .
