  Our guide Dreu was not only informative and entertaining, he definitely had our best interest in mind. He made sure we got the most out of our day out. He was very entertaining for sure. He ensured our safety at all times. He even avoided a collision on the highway when another vehicle ran a red light in front of us. I'm sure the people at the back of the bus never even knew. Thanks again Dreu, for making our day memorable and safe. Mahalo.

  It was so nice and Aaron was very knowledgeable! It was a great tour all around. The time goes by fast and it’s hard to believe we squeezed in all of the activities in that time (stargazing, watching the volcano- we saw lava and lava flow, and other cool things). I would definitely recommend this!

  If you are lucky to get Todd as your guide you hit the jackpot. Very informative, with a little humor thrown in. Always making sure you are seeing what you expected to on this tour. Plenty of stops, and always informative about what you are seeing. He is an awesome guide for a tremendous tour.

  What an epic experience and so well worth it ! We saw so many amazing sites and the stars! Our guide Todd took great care of us and had so many stories and told us so much history of the island. Just be prepared for the temperature changes and mist !

  Great experience, Todd was the best very knowledgeable. Definitely bring some lite pants to wear in the spring time, it was a little cool during the star gazing part.

  Our tour guide, Felix, was the best. He is very knowledgeable about the Hawai’i and life on the island, the history, plants and animals and of course different forms of lava and the landscape. It is a long day, but well worth it…leave the driving to someone who knows the area. The van was very comfortable for the 12 of us, nice size group. Felix was prepared with snacks and water/juice, and offered jackets and umbrellas if people wanted them later on in the evening. The boxed lunch at the coffee plantation while we sat on a covered patio with a view of the farm/coastline. There were plenty of bathroom stops throughout the day. Black Sand Beach was another nice stop and we saw turtles in the water and petroglyph. It was also a good time to enjoy the wonderful Malasadas that we bought at the Punalu’u Bake Shop. Felix knew all the right stops for great views throughout Volcanos National Park. We saw the crater, walked through the rain forest and through a lava tube and saw where past lava flows ran into the ocean at the end of Chain of Craters Road where the coast line is very rugged. We visited the Volcano House on the NW rim of the crater with a good view of the steam raising from Kīlauea Crater. Dinner was at a nice, casual restaurant (Volcano Lava Rock Cafe) just outside the park entrance. It was dark when we drove the short distance back to the Volcano House to watch the red glow of the lava activity at the surface. On the way back to Kona via Saddle Road, Felix knew several great spots and stopped to look for stars. Unfortunately the clouds didn’t cooperate and only parted briefly to be able to see a star or two. The weather can be unpredictable, especially in Hawaii, but it didn’t change how we felt about this experience. It was all wonderful and we would do it again in a heart beat.

  Aaron picked us up at the assigned place, just a few minutes late. He introduced himself and was very pleasant, offering bottles of cool water to all those on board. The entire visit went from 1030 until 2230, a long day filled with adventure, fun and information. Everyone's needs were addressed quickly, questions encouraged and quickly answered. Lunch and dinner were provided, a very nice touch. We would diffidently consider Wasabi tours our next trip to the Big Island.

  I traveled with a group of 20. We were split into 2 vans. Our drivers and guides, Derek and Todd were great! We started at a coffee plantation and were educated on how coffee is grown and processed. Delicious picnic style lunch followed. A visit to a bakery, a visit to a black sand beach, a drive to Volcanoes National Park,(several stops there) to view the volcanic crater and activity. A hike to a lava tube. Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner. We returned to view the volcano after dark and could see the glow from the active areas. Then a drive to Mauna Kea to view the stars through a telescope. Whew!! A thoroughly enjoyable and professionally executed tour. Highly recommended!!

• Spectacular tour!

  What an amazing day! The tour is long but 13 hours flew by with everything we did. We did find the first half of the day a little slow. Expected a bit more interaction at the coffee farm and took a while to get to the volcano national park, but once there the rest of day and evening was unforgettable. Aaron has a unique style but came into his own with so much knowledge about the volcanos. Took us back to see the lava activity at night at Kīlauea and bringing his night time binoculars was a great addition to the experience. We ended the night 6,000 feet above sea level, above the clouds looking at the most magnificent sky. Aaron’s commentary while stargazing was fascinating and to do all this while driving that long is incredible. Van was so comfortable too and they even had jackets for the evening cool temperatures. A well thought out and memorable tour that could be even better if there’s a way to get to the park earlier. Great memories overall!

• Can’t miss experience on Big Island

  This trip was absolutely incredible; I could leave Hawaii a happy woman if this was the only thing I did during my entire stay. Our guide Felix was amazing; a wealth of knowledge and so passionate about his job. He made our trip fun and insightful. We lucked out and had the most exceptionally clear night for stargazing with a new moon. Kilauea was also bubbling up and preparing for another eruption, so we got to see lots of activity there. I know those two are circumstantial and can’t be guaranteed for ever tour, but even without those the other parts were a delight.
