Hveragerdi
The first stop of the day is the town Hveragerði, where we have a short restroom stop. Hveragerði is about 45 min drive from Reykjavik. There are restrooms, a bakery and an exhibition about earth quakes. Consider this a short pit-stop on our way to the Golden Circle.
Gullfoss Falls
Gullfoss, is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. It is powerful and tall. Through it the river Hvítá, which is a glacier river originating from Langjökull, plunges down this two step waterfall. There are a handful of viewing platforms to observe the waterfall and above Gullfoss there is Gullfoss center where there are restrooms, a cafeteria and gift shops. NOTE: The path leading all the way up to the waterfall is closed during the winter season.

5.00The trip was excellent - Slavi was a great guide, really interactive and fun. The trip itself didn't seem too expensive for a full day, and it was a relatively small bus. The sites that we stopped at were really interesting and got some amazing photos. Myself and my wife went on this trip, and it was mainly couples due to the time of year, but it would also be good for families. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Reykjavik for just a few days!

5.00Plenty of time to walk around different stops. Decent food selection for both breakfast and lunch. It was winter, so having a driver highly recommend - rented a car and live where I drive in snow regularly but it was nice getting to not worry about road conditions during this time.
Stunning scenery, safe driver - wear good walking boots!

5.00This is a full day but it's a MUST DO tour! Especially for a first-time visitor! Be aware that there is a lot of walking and it can get cold ... we did 12,000 steps on the tour. First thing to mention is that the scenery was absolutely unbelievable and breathtaking. Lots of walking and driving through gorgeous countryside, including lava fields. The description says what to expect tour wise so I won't review each place as I'd be writing all day. However, I cannot stress how in awe I was of what we saw. This is one of my most favourite tours ever taken. Siggi was a safe driver. He was on time, professional, amusing and informative. He provided details of every place during the tour and some interesting facts about Iceland, too. Once at the destination, I appreciated that he allowed us to venture about on our own. We met back at the tour bus at an agreed upon time. The small group seemed to keep everyone on track timewise so there were no stragglers to look for. There was enough time allotted at each stop to explore. The bus was comfortable. There were several bathroom breaks throughout the day. We did bring our own lunch & snacks, bought drinks at the stops, but you can purchase food at two spots during the tour also. Would absolutely recommend this tour, without hesitation! Thank you for a memorable day!

5.00We did the classic Golden Circle tour and it was wonderful.Siggi are driver and tour guide was amazing.He was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny.When the conditions turned nasty he was reassuring and a excellent driver, keeping us safe even in extreme weather issues.He gave us plenty of time to see the major sites on the tour.He is a credit to the company and if anyone is wanting to do this tour we highly recommend it and the company. 5.00How good this trip is depends on your guide/driver. We were lucky to have Ziggy eho was very knowledgeable & informative. We had the added bonus of the snow do the views are particuraly stunning. Pricey but I would highly recommend this trip. Book directly with Iclandic excursions, I would avoid booking with Viator. Ensure pickup is at your hotel & check pick up time as they wont wait & wont refund if you are late.
