Hveragerdi

The first stop of the day is the town Hveragerði, where we have a short restroom stop. Hveragerði is about 45 min drive from Reykjavik. There are restrooms, a bakery and an exhibition about earth quakes. Consider this a short pit-stop on our way to the Golden Circle.

Gullfoss Falls

Gullfoss, is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. It is powerful and tall. Through it the river Hvítá, which is a glacier river originating from Langjökull, plunges down this two step waterfall. There are a handful of viewing platforms to observe the waterfall and above Gullfoss there is Gullfoss center where there are restrooms, a cafeteria and gift shops. NOTE: The path leading all the way up to the waterfall is closed during the winter season.

    Excellent tour. Maria (guide) very pleasant and gave plenty of time at each stop. Visit included crater, waterfall, geyser, national park & an ice cream.

    Great Tour Guide, Mr. P! He knew his stuff and provided wonderful stories. Very interesting places-well worth the money and time. Make sure to dress according to the weather! Highly recommend.

    What a great tour but our tour guide was the best!! Hjalti Bjornsson was amazing! He would give so much information and was a great driver too. He even stopped for the Iceland horses, small town greenhouses and town geothermal power/water which wasn’t even on the tour. I would take a trip with him again anytime!

    Hjalti Bjornsson was a great guide and driver. Great size group and smaller tour. He even stopped to see the horses, the small village power plants, and the greenhouses which were not even on the tour. He was amazing. May try to book a longer tour with him again. So glad we picked this tour.

    This tour is not a fully guided tour. That said, our driver, Dovile, was always very good at sharing details about each destination before we got there. She kept us on time, engaged and entertained. If you're short on time, would recommend this tour.

    This is more of a self guided tour, which was not what we expected. The driver was a man with few words and heavy accents. There was barely any information provided, and he never got out of the car. The Icelandic scenery was beautiful.

    A must-do tour! With the ease of a comfortable small group van, the day flies by and you’re back to the city at 4pm. The sights were unbelievably beautiful and we even got an extra stop to feed some Icelandic horses! I definitely recommend this tour to optimize your time here
