The first stop of the day is the town Hveragerði, where we have a short restroom stop. Hveragerði is about 45 min drive from Reykjavik. There are restrooms, a bakery and an exhibition about earth quakes. Consider this a short pit-stop on our way to the Golden Circle.

Gullfoss

Gullfoss, is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. It is powerful and tall. Through it the river Hvítá, which is a glacier river originating from Langjökull, plunges down this two step waterfall. There are a handful of viewing platforms to observe the waterfall and above Gullfoss there is Gullfoss center where there are restrooms, a cafeteria and gift shops. NOTE: The path leading all the way up to the waterfall is closed during the winter season.

I spent so precious time. The tour guide Mr. Thor was so kind and interesting, further knowledgeable. Sometimes I misunderstand his English, but he responds so gently. Anyway I recommend this tour.

Be prepared for a wide variety of weather! Wendy was informative and upbeat. She added interesting stops when weather shortened stops. This tour gives a good overview of this area with lots of variety

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Golden Circle Classic Tour from Reykjavík, made even better by our incredible guide, Wendy. Her knowledge was truly second to none — she shared fascinating history, geology, and local insights throughout the entire day, all delivered in a warm and engaging way. Every stop felt more meaningful thanks to her explanations, and she was more than happy to answer questions and make sure everyone was enjoying the experience. The tour was well-paced, informative, and unforgettable. Highly recommended — and if you’re lucky enough to have Wendy as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!

Amazing experience and a really good price! We seen so much of Iceland on this trip, along with the stopping off for pastries, coffee, lunch and even ice cream at the farm! Our guide, Franklin was absolutely made for this job! He was informative, loveable, funny and so happy to just be there showing everyone around, the trip would have been amazing alone but honestly, he made it all that much more entertaining! 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

Driver was kind and very patient with us. Good driving in snowy conditions. Made it very personal. Definitely enjoyed the smaller group van than the big bus.

The Golden Circle experience was amazing from start to finish! Our driver /guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and informative. She made sure we were comfortable at all times and was very attentive to everybody's needs. The places we visited were just breathtaking and we loved every minute. Would definitely recommend this trip with this company.

Great tour covering much of the Golden Circle highlights. Our driver/guide Franklin, was local, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Iceland and the stops we made.

Such a great experience. I really like that it was a small group. We were able to keep up with each other and be comfortable in the van. Our tour guide was awesome. I would recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for a tour of the Golden Circle

Amazing tour of the South Coast with East West. Our tour guide Carlos was knowledgeable and friendly. The sights were beautiful and lunch stop was great. We even made time for a bonus quick stop at a bakery for cinnamon buns on the way back.
