  So glad we booked this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, and we learned so many interesting facts that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. I liked how he included things that our kids found interesting. Also it was flexible to allow for an ice cream stop for the kids!

  We had such a wonderful experience touring the Alhambra with Balil. He is originally from Lebanon and speaks excellent English and Spanish, which made everything so easy to follow and engaging for our whole group. Balil is incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the Alhambra itself, but also the broader history and cultural heritage of the region. What really stood out was his expertise in Islamic calligraphy and architecture. He was able to translate and explain the intricate writings and tile work throughout the palace, which brought so much deeper meaning to what we were seeing. Beyond his knowledge, he was warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. It felt more like walking with a passionate historian than being on a typical tour. He also gave us a fantastic recommendation for a local Lebanese restaurant in Granada, which we ended up loving—such a great added touch! One thing I really appreciated was his honesty and transparency. We booked our tickets only a few days in advance during high season and didn’t realize they didn’t include full access to everything. Balil kindly explained this to us upfront, which we truly valued—many tour companies wouldn’t be as forthcoming. Overall, it was a lovely day, and we highly recommend Balil to anyone visiting the Alhambra. He made the experience so much more meaningful and memorable.

  This tour with Bilal was so incredible that I booked with him two years in a row. I was so lucky to be able to visit Andalusia twice and both times Bilal got us tickets and organized such a thorough, clear tour. His expertise in arabic, poetry, and calligraphy gave us such a unique experience where he was able to read anything off the walls and explain the historical and religious context behind it! That gave us such a comprehensive understanding of the intentionality behind the design of the Alhambra and truly I can't imagine visiting and leaving without this understanding. I recommend him to anyone who visits! His tour even shaped how we understood our future visits Cordoba and seville. He made all the topics digestible without skipping out on details. Such a wonderful experience. Priced very fairly.

  Bilal is an excellent guide. He has extensive knowledge of the Alhambra complex and related historical topics. He has good English and is calm and unhurried. We enjoyed our tour with him enormously.

  Our guide was truly exceptional — honestly, I can’t imagine visiting the Alhambra without a guide like him. We met him by coincidence at the entrance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Before visiting, I had already researched the Alhambra extensively, yet he shared an incredible amount of information we had never heard before. This is clearly because he is academically specialized — he is studying a master’s degree focused on Islamic art and the Alhambra itself, not just general facts. He explained Islamic art, Hebrew influences, architectural symbolism, and historical layers with remarkable depth and clarity. He guided us through areas we would have definitely missed or gotten lost in if we had gone alone, as the Alhambra is vast and complex. By the end of the tour, it felt as if we had read a 400-page book — rich, detailed, and intellectually fulfilling. The experience was so engaging that we completely lost track of time. He explained everything with passion, even reading and interpreting the inscriptions carved into the stone and explaining their meanings beautifully. Truly outstanding.   Amazing experience, Bilal is very knowledgeable about the place and the history, he goes beyond the regular stuff and would recommend This is actually my second time on a tour at Alhambra and I had to also go with Bilal again for the amazing experience. highly recommended.

  Bilal was very knowledgeable about the whole history of alhambra, I was very impressed with his level of knowledge and the way he accurately explained the history, and pointed out common myths. He even read all thats written on the walls, and highlighted original vs restored areas. Overall I enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn accurate history!
