Unlike other tours, we take you inside the castle and guide you round in a small group, so you get the time to ask questions and learn about this fascinating castle. We even pay your entrance fee. Learn about the history of the castle and why it has such a special role in Welsh history. Stand on the spot where Princes of Wales have been crowned and even see the room where the first Prince of Wales was born. You can walk the castle walls and up to the top of the Eagle tower.

Followiing the guided tour you get 30 minutes free time to either spend in the castle or in Caernarfon's excellent shops.

A guided tour of the castle. See the exhibitions and historic parts of the castle. Learn about the design of the castle and its ancient and recent history. See a video show on the building of the castle and an exhibition detailing the rulers of Wales over time. For those who like a challenge, we can walk the walls and to the top of the Eagle tower. For those unable to manage this there is a lift to a viewing area. With a maximum of 8 guests, you will get the personal touch! Entrance fee included in the price, saving you £12.50!

The small group tour was well worth the cost- our guide Trevor was superlative! His knowledge base is extensive and his personality and humor enhanced the castle tour. Extraordinary castle; be sure to climb the spiral steps to the top of the towers!

Trevor and his wife were very knowledgeable about the region and the castle. He extensively told stories of the king and his exploits. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend this excursion. They were also sensitive to my fear of heights and allowed my fearless husband to explore further. The steps in the castle were challenging!

Trevor was a delightful tour guide! We learned everything we needed to know along the way and highly enjoyed his presence. The castle grounds are stunning and our only wish is that the tour could have stayed hours longer! Our van was super comfortable and easy to find our guide at the start of our tour.

Great excursion. Our family came in on a cruise and first private excursion ever booked. So glad we did. Very knowledgeable and experienced great views. Only negative is a couple others attended held us up by not getting there on time but no fault of tour guide. Would definitely book if coming to Holyhead.

We were group of four peope age 75-80. We booked a privat tailor made tour suggested by Trever. It was wonderfull day. We enjoyed the places we visited, the guiding and the comfort of the car. Thank you Trever. Hope to see you again

The castle was amazing and we learned so much! Taylor (I think that was his name) from Tudno Tours was interesting and friendly and the vehicle was comfortable. We had a very smooth pick up at the cruise port. I highly recommend!

We booked both the morning and afternoon half day tours with Tudno tours and would highly recommend to get a better experience in Wales the day was full of sites with nice breaks for snacks and lunch.
