This family-friendly small-group tour offers a 35-minute husky ride, on snow or dry land depending on the season, guided by an experienced musher with a photo break included. Meet one of the first kennels in Scandinavia to feature Greenlandic sled dogs, a rare and authentic Arctic breed. Self-drive is required, but optional Reykjavík pickup and seasonal sled upgrades are available. Don’t miss this unforgettable encounter with Iceland’s winter wilderness and its four-legged athletes.

Weight limit of 95kg/ 210lbs per person and BMI below 30 ( Contact us prior booking with age, heigh and weight of each participant) if your group does not fit those requirements, there can be room for exception

It is recommended that you wear warm, waterproof outdoor clothing, adequate shoes to walk on wet surfaces, and that you dress in layers

5.00Very special experience. Good communications throughout. Pick up as promised. We were concerned that the dogs would be running off ice on a trail rather than on ice due to lack of snowfall for months! However on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly team who introduced the beautiful dogs who were ready to set off across the iced lake. It was actually sleeting as we set off which really set off the experience. Definitely take the offer of the warm suit which you absolutely need plus goggles. 35 mins and everyone had chance to drive sled if you want to. The dogs are happy and well looked after and we were definitely encouraged to engage with them before and after rides. The noise they make together whilst waiting is crazy but they fell silent as soon as harnessed and ready to roll. It’s very expensive but truly ticked off a must do off our bucket lists. We would definitely recommend

5.00If you are thinking about it, just do it! From the owner to the staff and drivers, everyone is so kind and excited for the work. Every dog has such a fun and unique personality. We got to meet will most of them. We scheduled our trip to include a transfer and were picked up by our hotel. After a couple other pickups, we arrived at base camp. The dogs were so excited — imagine how hyped your dog gets when you tell them it is time for a walk — and were very happy to receive head scratches, butt rubs. We took turns “driving” alongside a driver/ handler and enjoyed the stunning scenery. It was hard to tell who was having the most fun between us riders and the dogs! We came prepared with snowgear and crampons but they did have some items for those who needed them. Such a great time and so memorable. We would definitely do this again!

5.00This excursion was our families favorite from our trip to Iceland. The owners ams operators were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the dogs and super fun! We had excellent communication from them prior to the excursion too. The dogs were wonderful. 5 stars for our guide, Klara! Highly recommend!!

5.00Awesome experience with a perfect guide dressed as a reindeer. No snow but vary was a fine ride. At 71, this checked off a bucket list item. We got to greet and play with pups who will eventually be sled dogs. Learned a lot about the history of the breed. Highly recommend for both young and old.
Definitely put this experience on your bucket list!

5.00We went on a dogsled tour with our family of six and had an absolutely fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took great care of both us and the dogs, which were adorable, well cared for, and full of personality. The experience itself was unforgettable. Gliding through the Icelandic landscape with the dogs pulling the sled was exciting, fun, and something our whole family will be talking about for a long time. It felt very safe and well organized, and everyone — kids and adults alike — had a blast. A quick tip for future visitors: dress very warm, especially good gloves and warm boots. You’ll enjoy it even more if you’re properly bundled up. Highly recommend this tour to families and anyone looking for a unique and memorable Icelandic experience!

5.00Absolutely amazing experience My daughter turned 18 in August and her dream was to go dog sledging so I booked this experience alongside my trip to Iceland and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences I ever had and I'm 48 My daughter had the best time ever Such wonderful memories I have recommended anyone travelling to Iceland to book this experience Also just wanted to say my daughter has autism and other additional needs and she felt so comfortable and at ease Everyone was so warming and welcoming and a great laugh Thankyou so much

5.00We had a blast! The dogs were so friendly, but once it was time to work, they were very focused. All the people we interacted with from the shuttle driver to the dog handlers were incredibly nice and helpful. We never felt like this was an assembly line production, but rather they were allowing us to be a part of these dog’s lives for a few hours.
