  We departed from Kotor and drove up a winding road to the peak of a mountain that overlooks the city. While the view was spectacular, the drive required 25 switch-backs along a mountain road. When we reached the peak we had a photo opportunity. We then continued on to another vantage point that overlooked the city from a different perspective. The guide was very happy to take pictures of the guests although, I wasn't thrilled with the quality of his photography. It was a nice trip but rather long and tedious. Some very nice photo opportunities, but not much else.

  I DID NOT GET THE TOUR I PAID FOR!!!!! NO BUDVA. No refund either I did not get a tour meet time until 9:10pm the night before. I had inquired the month before because I needed to book a tender to them. They assured me they would be there and no problem. Lies…… nobody was at our meeting place. Was told I’d be put with another guide since he couldn’t be there until 12:30. I started receiving texts to walk to another location and look for a license plate to get in a car. When I texted the company we felt this was very unsafe we got a text with a pin dropped telling us go there. We should have never went. We were greeted by a man that told us 5 other people in van get in it’s safe and he seemed great. He informed us he was a driver in a taxi and not a guide. Drove us to Perast and deploys at a ferry service where we had to pay $15 a person for transport to lady of the rock. (This is all we did on the purchased itinerary). We were dropped and not picked up for an hour by this other company. When we got to the van he told us no time for Budva he was dropping us off at a Marina to shop. We asked to please not be brought there. He told us he’s only driver not his call. Proceed to drive us 45 minutes with not one word of information about the area. Drove us onto a Ferry even when we asked him to just bring us back to our meeting point. Dropped us at the Marina where we stood for an hour waiting to get back on van. The worst day I can remember. We felt unsafe and did not get the tour we paid $190 for. We could have paid $30 for transport to lady of the rocks and been back to town if we hadn’t booked with this company. We did not receive a refund although we provided all texts and proof of the fraudulent tour. This was NOT a tour. We were taxied around and told the tour was changed since it was so late. We could have gone with another company. We were bullied and felt we were unsafe with no options. In hindsight sight I should have ubered back to port but was 45 minutes away and alone there with my daughter. DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR unless you want to be swindled. When I filed a complaint with Viator they responded the company rejected a refund. HOW???? I purchased a tour to Budva. They sent a driver to bring us to a Marina where we asked to not be brought there and were completely ignored!!!! We were told over and over that he was a driver only and no tour guide!!! We should have went with a tour from the ship and have learned we have zero rights or backup unless we do from now on. It’s a shame because we have used Viator in the past and thought they were trustworthy. Thank goodness we didn’t get stranded!!! Buyer BEWARE!!! We never thought this would be us until it was

  Perfect way to see Montenegro outside of the city as a cruise excursion. Peter was very patient to wait for the tenders to get us to shore. Much appreciated. Lovely day!

  This is such a beautiful country, our ship entered in the fjords and we were surrounded by the bluest water and enormous tall mountains. The tour was fantastic. It was a private car with the owner of the company, Andros. He told us the history and took us to beautiful places. The village of Perast is both quaint and unbelievably scenic. Andros gave us plenty of time to explore. We stopped for coffee at a lovely shop on the water, and enjoyed a stunning view! Then we took a ferry to the other side and drove through quaint villages on the way back to Kotor. He took us high up a mountain to get a panoramic view of the port of Kotor. He dropped us off near where we were to catch the tender to get back to the ship. We spent a little time in the walled city before catching our tender. What a beautiful place! Andros could not have been nicer, and I highly recommend his tour!! P.S. it is worth noting that Montenegro is not very credit card friendly. Most places wanted cash, including the little boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island in Perast. We weren’t able to go because they wouldn’t take credit cards. Get some cash. We had some for tipping, but were out by the time we got there!

  Good tour Driver was very helpful good knowledge Worst part was the walk back to van of over one mile There must be a way to just drop people at the attraction go park and come back People in our group on walking sticks Just drop people closer always

  We underwent a private tour with Royal Services. 3 hour motorboat trip taking in Blue Caves, Our Lady and the tunnels. It was really enjoyable and we were very well looked after. Andro was very helpful when arranging the trip and our guide for the day, Jovan, was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Thank you both.

  A spontaneously chosen tour recommended by the guide adapted to traffic. So we could see many highlights of Montenegro quickly. Great explanations from the super nice guide to the history, politics and culture of Montenegro. Highly recommended!

  Based on our experience and other reviews I think this tour is highly dependent on the group size and if it is just your group or others. Our group was one other couple but the vehicle used for the tour was a Rav 4 and three large adults who didn’t know each other were siting in the back seat. Not ideal for a hot summer day… the spots visited were nice but I would consider a different tour in the future. Andro facilitated the tour but a different driver took the group for the tour.
