It was unnecessarily long for a 20 min. Penguin parade. We left hotel at 1:30 but the info sent to me stated 2pm pick up. Our guide was OK. The Moonlit Sanctuary was disappointing because it is poorly maintained .W felt sad for the workers and animals. There were a few koalas and snakes. I was able to feed a kangaroo but There was a lot of pushing and shoving. We were brought to the beach town of Cowe. The town was very disappointing and choices of restaurants were mediocre. We got to the penguin center around 7:30 to start the experience. But it didn't actually start until 9:15. We had the discovery tickets. The seats for the siting was good. We saw 3 rafts of penguins maybe saw 200 penquins in total The brochure picture makes it look like you would see thousands! We got back in the van around 10 Arriving at hotel at midnight. Our guide played loud rock music all the way back but we would have appreciated at bit of quiet. Overall, much too long a tour for a 20 min. Penguin experience

We had an amazing day with Travis on this tour. It was a day to remember forever! Travis himself was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did his best to provide us with a wonderful day. He pointed out landmarks and told us interesting information while driving. He clearly loves animals and was great at showing us around Moonlit Sanctuary, and at the Penguin Parade, both beforehand where we were able to see the penguin nests, and providing us invaluable information to get the best views of the penguins as they left the ocean to return to their nests. Thank you so much Travis for an incredible day!

Well organized tour. We enjoyed the animal sanctuary and the penguins. Dinner stop in a cute little town with plenty of restaurants. Expect a long day. We got back to our hotel after midnight.

This was our first time in Melbourne and knew we had to take some day trips and this was something we cannot recommend more! Kevin was a great tour guide, very informative and funny. He got us to all the good places and we got to stop in a cute town for dinner. Seeing the penguins was such an amazing experience!

Having had a bad experience (not this company nor Viator) we were apprehensive when we received an email about a week prior, changing the pick up point from our hotel (which was advertised as one of the selected pick up points) to a different hotel 12 minutes walk away. We’d already paid for the penguin plus upgrade so couldn’t cancel, nervously going ahead… We need not have worried, the whole tour was excellent! Our tour guide Josh, arrived ahead of time to pick us up, transporting us to the Moonlit sanctuary on the Mornington Peninsula, then to Phillip Island to a beach, the Nobbies and time in the town to get something to eat. After this, we arrived early to get our seats and watch the little penguins come out of the sea in their rafts, waddling up to their burrows. This is an unmissable brilliant experience and Josh gave us great tips to enable us to see the best of everything! Josh really is an asset to this company and we’d highly recommend paying extra for the penguin plus tickets. Overall, this tour is brilliant!
