The Haenyeo Museum and Stone Culture Park are closed every Monday.
This itinerary is slightly different when departing from Jeju city and Seogwipo city.
When departing from Jeju city, visit the following locations.
(Hamdeok Beach, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Haenyeo Museum, Seongeup Folk Village, Jeju Stone Culture Park, Dongmun Traditional Market)
When departing from Seogwipo city, visit the following locations.
(Oedolgae Cliff, Jeongbang Waterfall, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Gwangchigi Beach, Seongeup Folk Village, Olae Traditional Market)
The driver will safely and kindly guide you to the UNESCO-designated Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, beautiful beaches, the Haenyeo Museum where you can learn about the lives of Jeju's representative female divers, and a waterfall that falls directly into the sea.
We would like to inform you that Jeju is divided into a course departing from Jeju and a course departing from Seogwipo because the travel distance to each tourist destination is long.

If Manjanggul Cave is closed (on the first Wednesday of every month), Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be offered as an alternative tour
Manjanggul Cave, a World Natural Heritage site, will be closed for safety inspection and internal construction as follows. Suspension of operation 2023.12.29. ~ 2025.08.31. so, replaced by another place.

Hamdeok Beach
(Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal) If you walk along Jeju Olle Course 19, you will come across Hamdeok Beach, which has an emerald jewel. Hamdeok Beach, located in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, is also called ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ because of Oreum (Seoubong Peak) standing right next to the beach. It is only 20km away from Jeju Airport, but the moment you arrive here, you feel like you are in another country. The tall palm trees that welcome you from the entrance, the emerald sea that contrasts with the white sand, the clear water and white waves that make even the sand and seaweed transparent are like that. Among the numerous beaches in Jeju Island, if you choose three places with the most beautiful sea color, it is definitely Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach. The water is clear and the water depth is shallow, so it is also a good summer resort for families. The west side of the beach is connected by an overpass, so you can experience walking on the sea.
Haenyeo Museum
(Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal) Jeju haenyeo are the strong mothers of Jeju and the spiritual pillars of Jeju residents. Also, the life of the Jeju haenyeo community is a model that humanity should aim for. Jeju haenyeo formed a merit-based community and democratically decided through discussions. She not only cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and raised funds with her material profits to contribute to society, such as villages and schools. She also came up with various contraptions to coexist with the sea, such as beach sweeping, gold snatching, and dialysis. Jeju haenyeo culture was recognized for its value and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016 (local time).

5.00I found Lee of Namyang travel through TripAdvisor due to his good reviews. And I must say he lives up to it and more ! Lee is friendly, helpful and accommodating ! Unlike some private guides that I’ve had - He is respectful of the itineraries we have in mind and doesn’t impose his views on us. He takes nice photos too and recommends additional spots . If you are a fan of Welcome to Samdal-ri kdrama, Lee is the man to bring you to the filming locations. We had Lee for three full days , we learnt about Jeju way of life and changing social and cultural norms through him. I would use his service again if I visit Jeju and highly recommend him !

5.00Mr. Ko was wonderful and very patient as the boat docked late. He made sure we had a good day despite the weather and time constraints. He was very kind, providing us with water, umbrellas and even towels when we were wet. We saw some interesting sites, Jeju Island is a beautiful place. I would highly recommend the tour!

5.00There were 5 of us for a day of touring Jeju. We were able to choose which sights to visit and then had the most enthusiastic personal photographer! Mr Ko had limited english, but enough to communicate. And he really did take a ton of photos! He even made a personal video of our day. Thank you Mr Ko!

5.00Jeju Island is paradise. It is one of the wonders of this world! A must visit if one happens to be travelling in South Korea. Mr. Kim, our tour guide, didn’t speak a lot of English but both parties’ genuine desire to communicate prevailed and so we ended up understanding each other. He understood that I wasn’t feeling a 100% that day and he continuously reminded us to take our time and not to rush. Thank you, Mr. Kim. You were great!

5.00It was a very nice sunny day with a comforting Tourguide, wonderful destinations and relaxed mood for everybody. He also recommended us a coffee in the morning and we dropped by before we started the tour. We booked the tour in the night before and so we were very happy and thankful that it was this easy to go on the trip spontaneous and that it was this wonderful. A perfect trip/ day for us.

2.00I requested an English speaking tour guide but he did not speak English. Frustrating communication. Didn’t share info about half of the tour sites we visited.

5.00The driver, Mr Lee was patient and experienced in bringing us around jeju. We had a fun time and he was a part tour guide as well, explaining to us the history and introducing us to the different places in jeju. Definitely recommending him to anyone whom is interested to come to jeju to engage him. You wont be disappointed! P.S. he can communicate in english well and is a funny and very friendly guy!
