  We took a Road to Hana tour with Temptation Tours. I could not find out any info on this company on this site. I took a chance because the vans that they used were the Ford econoline ones that have Captain's chairs for everyone except the 3rd row seats. Boy am I glad I did. First off there were only 4 people booked that day ....us and another couple. Next, the tour came with a sit down breakfast and lunch included. Both places the food was excellent and service was great. Our driver and guide, Gennaro was a wealth of information about the Hawaiian culture, the history of Maui, and all of the flora and wildlife that we saw along the way. He even made an extra stop at a beach to see Sea Turtles. We were never rushed and he was always educating us about things we saw along the way. They have a website, but apparently do not do much marketing. If you want a superb experience, book this tour. The vans only seat 7 total people and everyone has a great view.

  We were very impressed with the quality and the service provided by our tour guide - Ray! From start to finish the experience was seamless and it will be something we remember forever! Appreciated the attention to detail, and the history behind some of the history of Maui!

  My wife and I had an amazing experience on this tour. Ray was very knowledgeable of Polynesian and Hawaiian history through years of collaborating with locals and research. We did not plan on seeing wildlife but ended up seeing 30+ sea turtles. He was also able to accommodate my wife’s gluten allergy. We would highly recommend!!!

  My wife and I absolutely had a beautiful time with Randy during the whole drive to Hana. While the road itself is breathtaking, what made it really enjoyable was having a driver who was very clearly truly in his element, excited to help, always kind, and very knowledgeable on the different types of vegetation and best spots to take pics. Randy clearly loves his job and does this out of passion and this comes out clearly in his narration and attention to detail. Would recommend Randy and this trip in general again and again, then again!

  We did this tour during our anniversary trip to Maui and it absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment Shawn picked us up, it was clear we were in great hands. He was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the island, sharing Hawaiian history, pointing out native plants and wildlife, and making the whole group feel like old friends by the end of the day. The limo-van was incredibly comfortable, and the small group size made it feel personal rather than touristy. We stopped at stunning spots along the way, the lush rainforest, cascading waterfalls, and the black sand beach were all breathtaking. Shawn knew exactly when to give us time to explore and when to keep things moving, so the day never felt rushed or slow. The food was delicious too, and it was such a relief to just sit back and enjoy the famous 617 curves without worrying about the driving ourselves. This road is truly one of the most beautiful in the world. If you’re visiting Maui, don’t hesitate, book this tour, and hope you get Shawn. He’s the real deal. Mahalo! 🤙

  Had a fantastic outing with this company. Our tour guide, Ray, couldn't have been a better host. Trip was filled with interesting facts and the drive was very safe. Highly recommended.

  We had an incredible experience on the Road to Hana with Randy – truly the highlight of our trip. I’ve done this drive before with another tour, and while that was good, this one was on a completely different level. Randy was knowledgeable about everything along the route from the vegetation to the best photo spots, and he made every stop feel intentional. The breakfast and lunch were both delicious, and the entire day flowed seamlessly. What really set this experience apart was Randy himself. He was warm, personable, and had us laughing the entire time. The energy was effortless and fun – just an all-around perfect day. Thank you, Randy!

  

• Definitely the way to do the Road to Hana

  The vehicle was really comfortable and seems a much more comfortable way to do the road to Hana than in a regular tour bus - just 6 passengers. Even so, if you are susceptible to car sickness, be sure to take appropriate precautions! Our tour guide, Scott, ensured we got the best photo opportunities, including teaching everyone some tricks with phone cameras! The scenery is amazing. The banana bread at the halfway point was delicious. Lunch at Hana was excellent. Nothing bad to say about the whole day - although I nearly lost a shoe due to a rogue wave at the black sand beach - no one's fault, except my own!   I had an amazing experience on the Road to Hana Deluxe tour with Temptation Tours. From start to finish, our guide, Genaro, was incredible. He was attentive, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable, sharing so many interesting insights throughout the entire trip. The Road to Hana has a lot of tight turns, but I felt completely safe the entire time, which made it easy to relax and just enjoy the journey. As a solo traveler, feeling comfortable and included is really important to me, and he made sure that I did. The stops along the way were beautiful and well thought out. We visited so many stunning locations, and every stop felt worth it. One of the highlights for me was finally getting to visit a black sand beach—something that has always been on my bucket list. It was absolutely breathtaking, and honestly, I have no words to fully describe how beautiful it was. I was completely taken aback. We also stopped at a local food truck where I finally got to try banana bread I had been seeing all over social media—and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Lunch was provided and was really good, and the entire experience was engaging from beginning to end. Even with all the information shared, it never felt overwhelming or boring—it was actually one of the highlights of my trip. Overall, this tour was unforgettable. It’s a long day, but 100% worth it. I truly appreciate Genaro’s hospitality and the effort he put into making the experience so special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui!

  Enjoyed the Road to Hana. Picked up right at cruise dock by our driver & guide Ray. Very informative and excellent service. They used a van with 8 captain seats for a comfortable ride,instead of bench seats. We had a wonderful fun & exciting day. Thanks Ray!
