Royal guard changing ceremony might be cancelled due to weather conditions
On Mondays, Changdeokgung Palace is closed and you will go to Bukchon traditional Hanok Village instead
On Tuesdays, the Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum of Korea is closed, so you will go to Changdeokgung(including secret garden) and in the afternoon you will visit Bukchon Hanok Village instead.
This tour is proceeding with minimum 2 people
Starting from September 1, 2024, lunch will no longer be included. Due to the difficulty in providing a variety of lunch options, we have reluctantly made this change. Please understand that you will have free time for lunch in Insadong, where you can choose your own dining options.

Jogyesa Temple
Jogyesa Buddhist Temple is the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea, and is famous for being located in the city. From the busy streets of Jongno, follow the road towards Anguk Subway Station, and you will see Jogyesa Temple. The first things you will notice at the temple are the lovely trees. These locust trees and baeksong trees in front of the Daeungjeon, the main temple building, are about 500 years old.

Keep your camera handy for the changing of the guard ceremony at Gwanghwamun Gate.

5.00The entire tour was amazing. So nice to be driven around the city and get a unique insider perspective. Our tour guide and the two trainees were very knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend!
No better way to learn about Korea’s royal history than this tour.

5.00Our tour guide Suki wove historical stories of the lives of kings and queens of Korea with the backdrop of beautiful palaces. She explained the symbolism of the various statues within the Buddhist Temple. With other stops including the Folk Museum, the ginseng museum and shopping districts this trip was an excellent way of learning Korean culture. The pace was excellent and being a small group we were able to comfortably accommodate the pace that suited us best. There was adequate time (1 hr) provided for a self funded lunch. In total our group walked about 4 miles on mostly flat grounds. Bathroom stops were perfectly spaced. An enjoyable day learning about Korea’s history awaits you on this tour.

5.00Our tour guide, Young, was friendly & knowledgeable. We saw many Seoul sights & he gave us a good explanation of everything we saw. When we saw the changing of the guard he made sure we were in the right spot for a good view. I would highly recommend him!

5.00Affable and knowledgeable Bk and heesoo were ideal guides. Bk knows his stuff and gives you the right amount of info and answers to put everything you’re seeing into context but doesn’t shower you with endless irrelevant facts. The tour is well composed to see many sites all at once. No notes, top score!
