The Church of the Good Shepherd
One of New Zealand’s most famous and photographed icons is the Church Of The Good Shepherd on the stunning lakefront of Lake Tekapo. This charming church holds a special place in the hearts of locals. It was built in memory of the pioneers of the Mackenzie, from local stone gathered from within 5 miles of the site, with the aim to simply be part of the landscape. It is a treasured heritage building and is also a place of worship.

Today we’ll head to the adrenaline capital of New Zealand – Queenstown! Before we head off you’ll have time to do a few activities or fit in any walks you didn’t do yesterday. Once we arrive, we’ll head to your accommodation for the next three days and get you settled in then it’s off exploring! Queenstown is the perfect place to tick off a number of items off your bucket list, with everything on offer from skydiving, and bungy jumping to canyoning and ziplining.

5.00What an incredible way to see the south Island. The transport was clean and comfortable, accommodation was great and the itinerary was exceptional. I can't recommend Wild Kiwi tours more and our guide Siobhan truly did make it even more memorable. She was knowledgeable, approachable and really did make the tour even more memorable. I also really enjoyed the diversity of the group (all ages and all nationalities)

5.00Siobhan is THE best guide ever. I’ve just finished a one-week Southern Voyager tour, and I honestly had the most amazing time. Everything was incredibly well organised, which made the whole experience feel smooth and chill. The itinerary was perfect, with a great mix of sights/stops, activities and enough free time to explore on our own. What really made the trip unforgettable, though, was Siobhan. Her energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for New Zealand shone through. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and looked after. Whether it was sharing interesting info about the nature and animals of NZ, giving great local restaurant/bar/cafe recommendations and bringing a fun, positive vibe to the group, she absolutely nailed it!! I couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better experience overall. Highly recommend this tour—especially if you’re lucky enough to get Siobhan!

5.00This is a trip that is definitely worth while! It is an amazing opportunity to get a taste of a few places in the South of New Zealand, and try lots of different activities. Siobhan is an outstanding tour guide who made the trip highly enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable and we were able to learn so much about the history and culture of New Zealand. Siobhan went above and beyond to ensure everyone had the best time. This tour and company is perfect if you are looking to travel solo, or with friends. Truly recommend it to anyone!

5.00I had an amazing experience on this tour and would definitely recommend going with wild kiwi! It was really well organised so you see a lot of the main sights. Even things like where you stop for lunch/loo breaks are planned so that they’re in a nice town or at viewpoints. Since it’s a small tour it’s easy to get to know everyone in your group which was really great as a solo traveller. The whole experience felt personalised since it was a small group and because you can choose the activities you do. I had Siobhan and she was a brilliant guide. She knew so much about the history of everywhere we visited, and had tons of recommendations on what to do + where to eat in each town. She had great advice about which activities were the best to do, and organised all the activity bookings for us. She was just an all round lovely person! Overall a 10/10 experience and I would definitely go with wild kiwi again

5.00I had the best 2 weeks in the north and south island of NZ with Siobhan! She was very easy to get along with and brought such a good chilled, friendly vibe to the group! She also knew so much about the area so could answer any questions we had about the culture or places we visited throughout the journey. The organisation of the activities was super easy as it was all taken care of by Siobhan, making the process super smooth. Overall I couldn’t really fault the experience and would 100% love to do another trip with Wild Kiwi + Siobhan again!

5.00Best experience!! Our tour guide, V, was incredible - she was super friendly and accommodating. Would totally recommend, the bus was really comfy, and the views were amazing. There’s a wide range of activities to choose from, which your guide sorts the booking of. Overall, the trip was perfect with many friendships and memories for life!

5.00My Wild Kiwi Southern Voyager tour surpassed all expectations. It was incredibly well organised and our tour guide V was so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing her love of NZ with us. There were so many activities to choose from - I wish I had signed up for longer than 7 days! I’d recommend Wild Kiwi to anyone wanting to explore NZ.

5.00It was a really great experience. I had already done a tour with Wild Kiwi on the North Island the week before and it continued to be incredibly beautiful. There were again really many offers we could make and our tour guide Vendula did everything in her power to implement everything we wanted. She also explained what we see and worked in some background knowledge on the way. Mega good! I was able to fully enjoy the journey and didn't have to worry about anything. And the group was super cool, too. It has really developed a great cohesion!
