Fantastic experience as a family with 1 teenage daughter of 15. For the parents it's spicy, for the daughter mega cool. We had a group of 10 people and there were 3 guides there, all very nice, quiet and experienced people who reassured us at any time and were helpful. In the group there were 5 who opted for extreme canyoning and 5 who went for the basic version. This was solved very quickly with small deviations in the course and the daughter could also switch to the extreme version halfway (incl. abseiling and rattling). An absolute must for those who are adventurous and love beautiful nature. Just do it!!

18 July 2025 Canyonning 10:40. The sun leads us and we shift in the shade. We are a little further from the side of the road, from the meeting point, but we have a nice view of the approaching cars and we look out for the black Mercedes-Benz van that will pick us up. He's coming. Nodding our hand, our guide (Ivan) opens the sliding door of the minibus and we greet our co-adventurers of the day, Thali and Lucas, who come from Boulogne, close to my hometown, laughing coincidence. About twenty minutes lead us over the canyon, near the cabin housing our equipment. Ivan chooses us wetsuit and lifejacket on the eye, he almost makes no mistake about our size. He still asks us our size for the shoes, then hands us each a shoulder strap and a “uni-size” helmet. Here we are transformed into helmeted otters. Ivan must then ask us three personal questions for the proper continuation of the operations: 1. Do we feel dizzy? 2.Do we have allergies or physical worries? 3. Can we swim? We are not obliged to answer him in front of everyone, but he asks us to tell him before departure, without any fuss, if there is a problem on these three points. “You can tell me all the lies you want when you get out of the canyon, but not before,” he laughs. In three hours, I’ll think about that, and I’ll wonder if he’ll ask us – before or after the release – if we’ve peed in our combis. (He did not ask.) Thus prepared and prepared, we take a path of biquettes of 100 m, straight in the canyon, which reminds me of a via ferrata... but descending. By the way, it’s still hot, and we’re not in the water yet despite our outfits, so we have the top of our combis rolled up in front or behind us depending on the location of the zipper. The lifejacket is the same body, not tight. Funny half-otters, not yet completely adapted to the water, that we are. And then we slip into the hollows of the river, basins dug by the centuries in which we finish equipping ourselves: click, click, zip, re-click. Everything's tight. Ivan shows us the “swimming” position in the rapids: on his back, legs forward, feet out of the water. The current will carry us between the stones leaving us the opportunity to navigate between the pitfalls. It also leaves us free to “swim” or “walk” — both will often be possible at the same time — swimming is safer but cools us down; walking on the contrary warms us up, at the risk of slipping. Last recommendation: follow its wake to minimize the risk of shock or fall. And here we go! The course seems dedicated to beginners. It makes us try our hand at jumping, rapids, mini-distances and bypass walks. We progress in an Indian file, in the heart of the canyon, green and gray, at the hour when the sun lights it in the best way – after the morning groups and before those of the afternoon. There are seven of us with Ivan, and the canyon is ours. Glad to have shown us gradually its first facets, the canyon now faces us with the first challenge: a waterfall of 50 meters. A little too tense for us. Especially since we took our information yesterday before leaving, and the world record for jumps of this kind is 58.8 meters, with a speed of 123 km/h at the finish for 3.8 seconds of crash. No, no. We aim (hesitantly) for the 12 meters, which will already make us touch the water at 55 km/h. We are therefore orienting to the side in a very practical tunnel. It leads us after the fall, but still some 60 meters above the basin in which it splashes. This is an opportunity for us to rappel to get off. When I say “we”, I mean mostly Nini, who fearlessly clings to the rope Ivan hands her, bids us a little goodbye with a big smile, and lets himself go back into the void to walk vertically and backwards on the wall. We, “the others”, take a crossroads that steeply descends down, but on dry land. Plouf, in the basin a little downstream of the waterfall. We go up the current just in time to see our declimber finish the last meters suspended under a cant. Then it’s the break. Jumps of 3 meters, view of the spray, we swim towards the waterfall, grab the walls to go up the current, and pass behind the curtain of water. Magic. For the second half of the route, there will be another 20-metre rappel. With stop possible 7 meters above the water. We go on the 4th and take the option “jump of 7 meters”. There is also a jump to 10 meters (we all take up the challenge again). A few rapids, and the exit of the canyon on a small wild lake. Three hours that have passed as in a dream, or as in a movie in which we are the heroes. We find our Mercedes-Benz a little further away, and the heroes undress with little grace from their otter paraphernalia. Feet heat up uncomfortably on the sun-laden floor. Hop the shorts. Hop in the car. And we go back to the cabin where I can empty my bladder with pleasure. PS: the phones remained in the bags, and Ivan took on the role of photographer in addition to that of guide. It is also thanks to him that the narrative is imaged.

This was really amazing! We chose the extreme canyoning private tour and started early in the morning with or family (2 adults, 4 kids of 14, 13, 11 and 10 years old). By starting early, the whole canyon was ours. Very nice to experience in our little private group. Our guide Ivan was super, very experienced and good with the kids. We all did the big rapel. For a big jump we had the choice whether or not to jump or go by rapel. The surrounding nature is beautiful. Really a very nice day and with thanks to our guide with lots of photos!

We booked the basic canyoning tour with Ivan and it turned out that my girlfriend and I were the only ones booking it - so we basically got a private tour. It turned out that the tours by the bigger companies are usually packed with many people so it was way more personal like this. During the trip it turned out that Ivan is a highly professional in mountain climbing and that he’s also working in the mountain rescue. I‘m usually very afraid of heights, but Ivan was such a trustful and professional person that even I said „let’s do the extreme version“. So thanks to Ivan, I could overcome my fears and climb off a breathtaking 50m waterfall and jump off a 10m cliff into the fresh water. But even if you feel like doing the normal tour, I‘m sure that this is going to be a lifetime experience for you. Ivan is only doing this as a side business and in rather small groups. So if you get the chance, you should definitely go with him! - Anna&Tim

It was a great trip. We have done something like this before but this one was a bit tougher, especially for the parents. Two parents and three boys aged 14 and 16. Was a nice long trip with several jumps. Climbing could be steep at times. The setting is beautiful. Guides were very attentive and friendly. We were still a group of 5, so very clear. Only tip is to have some water at the end of the ride.

I thoroughly recommend choosing Ivan for your adventure. He makes a point of having small groups which means you get a personalised, tailored experience and feel 100% looked after at all times. The chat is great too :-) Scrambling, cliff jumping, waterfall diving, climbing, sliding and swimming, we had an amazing adrenaline-filled afternoon that we all loved (kids 11 and 14), in an incredibly stunning setting. Because we were there at the end of the season when the river was a little cooler than at peak times, Ivan tweaked what we did which meant we didn't get too cold and still had an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

Mate, this was journey was wild. It commenced with a friendly briefing by Moco. The bloke has been doing this for over ten years and has a crazy passion for canyoning within the Omis area. It was reassuring to know we were in capable hands. The canyoning itself was an exhilarating experience, we traversed through narrow gorges, scrambled over rocks, and navigated through cascading waterfalls. Moco was supportive and looking after us, making sure we felt safe the entire way through. (Especially for me abseiling down a 50 meter rock hahaha). This adventure had gorgeous views, breathtaking experiences, and all with the guidance of an excellent tour guide. Definitely a must-do activity that will leave you with memories to treasure for a lifetime. Omis and its canyons are a hidden gem in the heart of Croatia, and this adventure is an absolute highlight that should not be missed. Thanks Moco you legend!

Fantastic canyoning adventure in Cetina! The scenery during the entire trip was stunning, but the biggest highlight was the 55-meter abseiling, which offered an incredible view of a beautiful waterfall. We were a small group, and our guide, Ivan, was amazing. His expertise kept us safe and excited. Plus, he spoke perfect English. If you're looking for an awesome adventure immersed in nature, I highly recommend this Cetina canyoning trip!
