Explore the oldest and also the most important Prague monument - the Castle, the traditional seat of the Czech monarchs, since 1918 the president of the republic.
Through successive reconstructions and modifications, the original hill fort from the 9th century became one of the largest castle complexes in the world.
During the guiding tour, you will enjoy a visit to the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the old Royal Palace with the Vladislav Hall, the Basilica of St. George, and the Golden Lane.
You will see the masterpieces of architects, sculptors, and artists who lived here in different centuries, worked, and created a unique monument, which today is admired by millions of visitors.

Our Prague castle tour with a local guide is a “skip the ticket line” tour. It means you will get your admission ticket before the tour starts, or during the tour. Unfortunately, to visit the interiors, all guides and their tourists have to stand in a common line. There is no special entrance for guides. Fortunately, the line moves quickly enough. We will do our best to make sure you don't get bored in line. Our guides will tell you interesting facts and legends that you will not find in guidebooks or answer your questions.

You will start in front of the First Courtyard of Prague Castle. The first courtyard of Prague Castle is one of the four courtyards of Prague Castle. It has the form of an honorary court and forms the ceremonial western entrance from Hradčanské náměstí (Castle District marketplace) to the Castle.
Prague Castle
The guide will lead you to the Second Courtyard of Prague Castle. The courtyard acquired its present appearance under the reign of Maria Theresa of the House of Habsburg after the middle of the18th century. Here you can find the Prague Castle Picture Gallery, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Imperial Stables and the Office of the President of the Czech Republic.

5.00The guide was very knowledgeable about the Castle, its history and the various people associated with it. The tour was conducted at a good pace and provided a detailed experience in the main church - Saint Vitus. The guide was very pleasant and unassuming.

5.00This was a really good tour in a small group, which was perfect in comparison to some of the much larger groups that were being shown around the complex. Marta was really friendly, knowledgeable and humorous. She explained the Czech history to us and took her time showing us around the complex. If we had not had a tour, we would not know much about its history or significance. I would recommend this tour.

3.00We found the experience interesting but felt overloaded with historical information. Our guide was lovely with excellent English and suoer knowledgeable which if you are a history buff you would appreciate more than we did. St Vitus Cathedral is magnificent.. the rest of the castle buildings less so. For us in our 70’s we found it a rather over long time with no breaks.

5.00Inna was an excellent guide. She was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. It would have been hard negotiating the crowds without her expertise. I would definitely recommend doing this tour with a guide and especially Inna!

3.00This was quite enjoyable but the instruction for where to meet should just say to meet outside the castle, no one we asked knew what statue we were told to meet by. The lady also over run on the tour, we did explain we needed to finish on time as we had another tour booked that we needed to get to, this was a shame as we missed the last bit of the tour

5.00Fantastic experience with a knowledgeable guide. Lots of history covered in a reasonable amount of time with opportunities to take photos and admire the art and architecture as well. Highly recommended if you don't have time to spend a full day slowly going through the buildings with an audio guide. If you go for the morning session you will still have time after that to explore the rest of the complex and golden lane. We did the afternoon one but didn't come early enough to explore ahead and everything was closing soon after it ended.
