Enjoy an half day small group tour to discover the beauty of the Tuscan wine country. Drive through vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. Visit 2 wineries to discover the secrets of wine making, take pictures and taste different wines and olive oil paired with local Tuscan specialties.

Minimum age to join the tour is 12 years old; infants are not allowed

Drinking age is 18 years old

Due to a few stairs to access wine cellars, this tour is not accessible for those using a wheelchair

Vegetarian & gluteen free, can be accommodated, please advise at time of booking under special requirements.

Wines tasted: reds typical of the Chianti region ( normally Chianti Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscans, Gran Selezione, etc.).

Operates rain or shine, please dress appropriately

Luggage can be stored on the bus during the tour, if needed

Return at departure point: 1:45pm for the 9.00am tour - 7:00pm for the 2:30pm tour. To reserve other activities, allow plenty of time, in case of heavy traffic, etc.

Visited wineries may vary depending on their availability, etc.; they may be 2 of the following Fattoria Montecchio, Casa Emma, San Michele a Torri, Villa Poggio Torselli, Podere Anselmo, Casa di Monte, Tenuta Capponi, Villa i Langi, Tenuta San Vito, etc.

For cruise ship passengers only: if your ship docks at Livorno or La Spezia Port, be advised that the driving time to the meeting point in Florence is approx. 2 hours. Before booking, be sure your ship schedule works with our departure times, and you have your own transportation arranged from the port to Florence and back.

A great time was had by all! Daniela and Tony were fantastic! Daniela shared a lot of information regarding the history of the area and the vineyards we were visiting. It was only a 30 minute ride from the meeting place. I’m really glad I chose the small group experience as it was much more fun to meet and chat with many of the travelers from different places. The guides at both wineries were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Of course both wineries had shops available for you to buy what you were tasting. My only regret is not purchasing wine at the first winery. I enjoyed their Chianti Reserve much more but decided to buy their wonderful balsamic vinegar instead. The second winery had a wonderful Rose which I did not expect to try so that was a pleasant surprise. I wished we could have gone back to the first winery afterwards to make another purchase but that was not possible. The ride back was hilarious with a bus load of tipsy travelers singing at the top of their lungs. Thank you Daniela and Tony for a great wine tasting experience.

Great fun but beware you will get at least 8 glasses of wine and lots of meat, bread snd cheese. Not a lot of walking like some tours. We give 5 stars

Great tour, excellent wine, knowledgeable and fun guide! Well worth it! You will have a little down time on the luxurious bus to and from the wineries, so bring your ear pods or something to read. Finding the meeting place was a little tricky so leave plenty of time. Also our ticket said to be at the meeting place at 2:15 for a 2:30 tour - we got there a couple minutes before 2:00 and were the last people to get in the bus, so I think the time on the ticket was incorrect. I recommend getting to the meeting place at least 30 minutes before the arrival time on your ticket. It rained while we were there and you are outside for the beginning of each tour, so having an umbrella may be a good idea.

What a fantastic way to see the beautiful countryside of Tuscany! Angela, our tour guide, was engaging and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with her. The 2 small family wineries were delightful with outstanding wines. It was one of our favorite outings in Florence.
