  I left angry and disappointed - probably all good if the seas are calm but this irresponsible, money grubbing business continued with the tour in extremely rough seas. I will be making a serious complaint to the Ministry of Tourism. The boat driver was all about speed and drove recklessly and it was a miracle we did not capsize.

• A Memorable Snorkelling Experience

  We booked the full day tour and overall it was an excellent experience. The crew were warm, friendly and professional, and they made the day feel well organised from the outset. We saw some truly amazing fish and marine life, with plenty of opportunities to snorkel and explore a range of beautiful locations. Masks and snorkels were provided and were perfectly adequate for the day. The food was a pleasant surprise, with genuinely good vegetarian options, and travelling between locations gave us the chance to see some stunning scenery along the way. There are a few important things to be aware of. The boat was very full, and it takes a long time to reach some of the snorkelling spots. You travel at real speed, and on the day we went the sea was quite choppy. This led to a fair amount of sea sickness, and the constant jolting left my back sore after hours on the water. This is absolutely not a reflection on the crew or the company, but it is worth bearing in mind when booking, especially for anyone with back or mobility issues. That said, if you are comfortable spending a long day on a fast boat, the snorkelling itself is fantastic and the crew really do make the experience enjoyable. The marine life, locations and overall organisation make this a memorable day out and one I am glad we did

  Very good tour. Snorkeling spots were decent. The water was crystal and there were lots of fish etc to see. The lunch served at Koh Rok was good! All in all nothing to complain about!

  Koh Rok and Koh Haa tour was fantastic - highlight of our trip to Koh Lanta! Safe life jackets and snorkels, and the on-boat guides were fantastic. The team runs such an efficient operation and we thought we spent exactly the right amount of time at each spot. Topped off by a fantastic lunch and super efficient transfers direct to our hotel. It can be difficult to differentiate between operators for tours like these, would highly recommend Tin Adventures!

  Great, really an excursion to do if you love snorkeling and discover the beauty of the islands! It's just a natural, sublime aquarium! Close to 2h mask/tuba, with a really smiling, kind, discreet team and a very careful pilot who knows his job... I really recommend, TIM adventure for doing koh phiphi

  The tour was average. Snorkeling wasn’t anything special and all three stops had the same reef and fish. Did see 2 squid though! The lunch was basic and took up the majority of the tour at 2 hours. Saw monitor lizards and that was cool! The guides had little to no interaction with the passengers. The tour to phi phi maya beach was way better

  very well run tour. Got to snorkel in many different spots and there were stops by beaches for those too tired to snorkel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. however, if you get sea sick easily this trip moght be difficult. Expect to spend up to 2 hrs on choppy waters.

  Excellent day of snorkeling in crystal blue waters. The fish and coral life was amazing to see. The trip was well organised and managed. The staff were very friendly and the boat fantastic. Lunch was delicious. We also had endless access to cold bottles of water and soft drinks. Overall awesome memorable day out!

  This is admittedly an isolated incident, but thought it would be helpful for others like me, who aren’t totally comfortable with these kinds of tours where you’re at the mercy of a limited description on the booking site and a crew of strangers in a strange land, who you hand over all control of your safety to. Was picked up at hotel, and brought to a beach for boarding. The person who checked my name seemed to be holding a joint, which didn’t bother me so much until I saw the same person then as the main crewman helping passengers board. I raised this issue in a note to the operator after I walked away and did not go on the excursion, and was told that it is common for people to smoke palm leaves which looks like I joint. My thought is, if that mistake can be made, maybe keep the smoking for when you’re not dealing with customers who might be already a little nervous about entrusting their safety to strangers. Additionally, the boat was not as I expected. Maybe I should have, but the description “The new and spacious boat offers both outdoor and indoor saloons,” gave me the impression they would be more spacious than shoulder-to-shoulder with other passengers. The word saloon to me means a place to get away, so I believed I would be able to find places on the boat to not feel so crammed. I may have gotten past this if I wasn’t already on alert due to not trusting the staff I encountered. Again, I walked away, and did not go on the excursion, knowing I probably was forfeiting what I paid, but my peace of mind is more important. I reached out explaining my issue, hoping I would deal with a company reasonable about customer service, but as stated, absolutely no refunds. So, beware, and be sure this is absolutely what you want to do before booking. They will not work with you under special circumstances.
