Silk Cayes is a marine reserve consisting of 3 small islands formerly known as the Queen Cayes. This Marine Reserve hosts over 25 species of reef fish, with a variety of coral and other marine life! The Silk Caye is one of healthiest areas in the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System due to its location and protected status. It is a great destination to snorkel, scuba dive or simply spend a day on the island! Snorkelers explore the reefs surrounding the islands. Scuba Divers explore the the barrier reef wall and other dive sites the Silk Cayes have to offer. As a bonus just before returning to Placencia, everyone has an opportunity to snorkel with rays, sharks and (usually) huge turtles in an area where the local fishermen clean their catch - when the critters hear the boat engines, they think it is meal time and come to the dive boat.

Around midday, enjoy an authentic Belizean picnic lunch. Afterward, dive back into the water to explore more of the vibrant corals and marine life that call Silk Cayes home. Turtle Alley, a spot just inside the barrier reef where local fishermen clean their catch, offering you the exciting opportunity for close encounters with huge turtles, rays, and nurse sharks.

5.00Great caring and professional team. Always ready to advise and guide. The spots are amazing. The material is of good quality. A guide will introduce you to the flora and fauna, a second ensures safety. The captain manages the promenade , which is unforgettable. Only downside... the meal is light. Have an extra snack as physical activity at sea stimulates appetite.

5.00Our tour was yesterday and it was a pretty amazing trip. The island was like a dream and the water was beautiful. Moses was a great guide telling us all about the islands we passed on the boat ride and then was very knowledge about all the different fish and coral. After lunch we saw dolphins from the island so we hopped in the boat and they took us over to see them. Moses used my phone to get a recording of them - Amazing! After we went to the place where fisherman clean their catch and swam with sea turtles, rays, and nurse sharks. My 9 year old daughter was scared to get in so Moses took her with him and swam with her to show her all around. My mama heart was filled to see that kind of care and attention to make sure that she had a good time.

3.00They were an hour late picking us up. They packed the boat with almost too many people. Once we got there the guide was great in the water. Saw lots of fish, sharks stingray and turtle. Lunch was not great- bring your own food! But Belize is beautiful and the people are super friendly!

5.00We spent 3 days with Splash Diving and would definitely use them again. Our grandson did his AOW and nitrox certs and the entire family, divers and snorkelers alike, were treated to great reef sightings. Safety was clearly a priority and it was a real pleasure- and fun- to meet and be cared for by the boat and booking teams. communication was excellent. THANK YOU SPLASH!

5.00The snorkelling tour was amazing. Cant recommend enough. Nice helpful guides showing a lot of reef and fish. Unfortunately we didn’t see turtles. Boat ride is pretty bumpy so be ready for that. Also - bring sunscreen with you. There are three separate snorkelling events during this trip and it’s good to reapply the sunscreen.

5.00Excellent tour! While the weather wasn’t on our side today tour guides still made sure we had an amazing experience! We saw so many types of fish, some sharks, swam in the beautiful sea and had a great lunch! Our guides knew so much and taught us way more than I ever expected!

5.00The snorkeling was fantastic! The guide was very knowledgable and kept a good pace around the reefs. It was enjoyable that the guide repeated the names of the fish we'd see in the water multiple times to allow everyone to hear the name properly so we could learn something as well.

5.00Amazing day! They take care of you from beginning to end. See dolphins, beautiful corals, so many fish, turtles and nurse sharks. They guided us through the coral and even set us to wander around a bit ourselves. Ask about the coral nursery! So cool!
