The Daymaniat Islands are a snorkeling hotspot around Muscat. You can snorkel with many sea Turtles, sharks, Rays and colorful Fish. Our guides will show you the most beautiful sites around the nine islands in the nature reserve.

After a 45 - 60 minutes Boat ride we reach Daymaniat Islands who lay just 26 kilometers of the coast of Muscat. This snorkeling excursion will take you to 2 different locations where you can see Turtles, Black tip sharks, Rays, Eels and different Reef Fish. Between November and April we will have a stop on the beach usually between the two snorkeling locations. you have time to walk around the Island, take pictures and relax on the beach. From May to October three is no access to the beach because of the Turtle / Bird nesting season We are proud Green Tourism Silver Award holders. There is no Single Use plastic on our trips

5.00Really excellent boat, really great staff, wonderful coral and fish, and the tour was sold out and not too busy. Barely any boats nearby. A wonderful day.

5.00From the moment we arrived until we left at the end of the half day trip, which is a generous 8-2, we had the most enjoyable time. Captain Farhad, took great pains to ensure we understood what would happen when and shared updates on the weather and expectations of the trip. He genuinely cares about the sea life, ensuring sustainable practices and underlining how to behave whilst visiting the ‘friends of the sea’. We saw amazing turtles, colorful fish and I even caught glimpse of an octopus before it crawled under the coral. They provide a sandwich and water for the trip. They catered for my gluten free vegetarian request with very tasty bread buns and salad filling. Many Thanks! The weather was not as warm on the day we went but we were kept up to date with how this might affect us. Happily it didn’t besides it being rather chilly on the trip over. It takes about 50 mins to get to the islands and even on warm days I’d recommend taking a warm jacket as the boat moves at pace. Really is an exceptional experience. With Farhad showing us reef sharks from the islands too.

5.00Amazing boat trip with captain Nasser and captain Sahid! We enjoyed snorkeling with turtles and colorful fishes. The boat crew gave us a big surprise taking us to a deserted island with beautiful beach and sea, we had time to swim and sunbathe there, and eat together a delicious grilled meal! Thanks

5.00It was a unique and fantastic experience, the captain a very nice Omani showed us beautiful places, avoided crowded places making us discover rare pearls! Lunch is delicious snacks. Thank you very much for the love you put into your work! The difference of the others showed!

5.00If you are wondering whether to check out this island by snorkelling, do it. Amazing! If you are wondering which tour operator to choose, you can stop your search. Captain Fahd and Abdul were the best hosts. They make sure you get there before the other tours arrive, so you have the turtles to yourselves. And they truly care about the marine environment. This is not a pump the punters through operation. They genuinely enjoy showing the natural wonders to you. Our whole family had a blast. Couldn't recommend more highly.

5.00Took the private tour - got to the islands first, had ca 20 minutes alone with the turtles. Then other boats came and there were 100 persons in the bay. They put up a tent on the beach to enjoy the bbq and rest while swimming and we stayed a bit longer while other boats went back sooner. We had a friendly Kenyan captain Mbona (sorry if misspelled). Boat has a shower to wash off salty water. Fruits and water are provided aswell.

5.00An unforgettable experience with Captain Fahd, who took great care of us, and his partner Abdullah. The boat was amazing, and the food was very, very good: fresh fruits, small sandwiches, and cold water — everything was perfectly well thought out. The activity location was absolutely incredible. We saw turtles, colorful fish, and even an octopus. They also shared the videos they took on site right after the activity, which was a wonderful bonus. The whole experience was very well organized. We had plenty of time to fully enjoy the snorkeling, as well as time to relax and unwind on small private beach spots. I truly highly recommend Daymaniat Shells. Thank you again for the lovely gift, a perfect souvenir we will keep forever. Greetings from Belgium
