Away from the crowds means that the reef formations are unspoiled, the beaches are pristine and the sea life is truly the best that Puerto Rico has to offer. Remember, for over half a century the Island of Vieques and surrounding waters were off limits to the public during the active naval military presence.
Today the area is under the guidance and protection of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service meaning that access is limited and overfishing is controlled making Vieques the best place for snorkeling and diving!

Our offices are closed on SUNDAYS - Reservations made Saturday after 5 pm will not be revised until Monday at 9 am. If transportation is needed guest will not be able to set it up if the reservation is made during this time. For cancellations request during this time please send us a message through Viator.
SPECIAL NOTE: We encourage our guests to not reserve the tour on the same day of arrival to the Island. If the flight is delayed and the guest misses the tour the guest will not be entitled to a refund or rescheduling.

For safety reasons, children under 6 years old CANNOT participate in PURE ADVENTURE tour.
Those who have epilepsy, back problems, heart conditions, dizziness, recent surgery or any other condition that may put life in risk are not allowed to participate in PURE ADVENTURE tour.

5.00Lots of fun. The ride over was wet if you sat on the stern of the boat - which we thought was great. The tour visited two places. The first was shallow water near the shore. People snorkeled individually and saw small fish, spotted rays and big barracuda. Paddle boards were also available for people not snorkeling. After the first segment we had a light lunch with small freshly made wraps of your choice, chips and fruit. Afterwards we floated off shore into 15’ waters. Our guide, Fred got us all in the water & we followed him to look for turtles. I saw 3. Some people watched a nurse shark sleeping on the bottom. I recommend staying in the water after Fred and most of the guests get out if you want to see even more fish. Fewer people = more tranquil water & even more fish. Just before leaving we had a choice of rum & coke, sangria & mojitos. We (74 & 75 years) loved being with a group of young women from the University of S. Carolina @ Columbia whose grace & enthusiasm was contagious! Memorable tour & fabulous crew: Carlos, Fred & Pearl. Thank you!

5.00Amazing tour with Carlitos, Perle, and Freddy! Carlitos was a fantastic boat captain. Perle was the trip “organizer:” she met us at the site, got our lunch orders, assisted Freddy with our guided snorkel, and was our bartender at the end. Freddy was able to show us octopus (octopi?), multiple sea turtles, a couple of stingray and more. Our friend group was 3 people total, and there were approximately 12 adults on the trip—but a perfectly acceptable trip for children around ages 10+.

5.00This was the best family activity we have done in our many trips to PR! We were able to see sea turtles, many fish, and even touch an octopus! The snacks and drinks were delicious! The stop at the private beach had something for everyone (snorkeling, exploring, stand up paddle boarding, relaxing in the boat). Freddy and Carlos were awesome at ensuring gear fit great and ensuring everyone had a great trip!

5.00Our morning snorkeling trip was the highlight of our vacation. We took a taxi from our hotel and easily found the spot to meet the captain and crew. Carlitos made us feel comfortable, welcome, and let my 6 year old feel like he was the captain. It was a beautiful ride from the marina to the beach where we spent some time exploring. It was one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been too - pristine and natural. We then went out a bit further. Freddy was an amazing guide and I found my six year old getting braver as the day went on - he was following Freddy on his own. We saw two turtles, a ray, and a barracuda. We also got to see an octopus which was a highlight. We were so lucky and grateful for such a memorable day. Will never forget how kind and welcoming the crew was. Thank you!

5.00Juan and his crew were amazing! It was a great boat ride out to the island. They anchored close to shore to start with. There was a reef to snorkel at at your own leisure, or you could walk along the beach. They had paddle boards that you could use if you wanted to. After about an hour, we got back on the boat for our included lunch/snack and drinks. They moved the boat into deeper water and then guided us to see sea turtles and sting rays. It was a lot more time in the water than other trips we've taken which is exactly what we wanted. And it was go at your own pace so you could have returned to the boat whenever you were ready to. All in all we saw: lots of fish, a green Moray eel, a lobster, sea cucumber, sea turtles, sting rays, barracuda, and a couple of nurse sharks. Will definitely do this again on our next visit to Puerto Rico.

5.00We enjoyed a half day cruise to Vieques for some snorkeling with my 79-year-old mom who has had double hip AND knee replacement and has some mobility issues. She was very nervous about getting on and off the boat. I am so happy to share that she had a wonderful time and that Freddy and Captain Jose were accommodating, helpful, and kind. The boat was very new and comfortable and had both shaded and open areas. The shore at Vieques was lovely, and we saw turtles, stingrays and lots of fish. The visibility wasn't great the day we went, but we still had a wonderful time. They provide snorkeling gear and a guided tour which was helpful - Freddy pointed out various sea life. The wraps for lunch were great and perfectly timed. They also served margaritas and beer for those who drink. Keep in mind that is is not the great barrier reef and can be weather and season dependent, but for a fun, relaxed time with some pretty good snorkeling and fantastic guides, I highly recommend!

5.00My husband and I are locals and were looking for something different, and Pure Adventure’s snorkel trip to Vieques completely blew us away. Carlitos and Freddy were incredibly helpful, kind, and so knowledgeable — they made the whole experience feel easy and special from start to finish. Punta Arenas is absolutely majestic. We were able to truly unwind, swim, paddle, and just take it all in. We saw turtles, stingrays, and an incredible abundance of marine life. Highly recommended — we will definitely be back for another adventure! 🌊✨

5.0010/10 the guides were great and we saw so many sea turtles, sting rays and fish. All of the gear that we needed was provided and the guides were very good about helping the members of the group that were weaker swimmers.

5.00Exceeded expectations, Pure adventure had twice the experience as the other tours that came out. Wehere other biats looked dangerously over crowded we received personalized attention. Our tour was first out to the island, the captain involved the kids teaching them about the basics of boating while the took the wheel. The smart and attentive captain and crew were dedicated to showing us a great time and protecting the environment. The 4 hours gave us time to snorkle, paddle board, explore the island, enjoy watersports and get a fresh, made to order, mini lunch. The last part had drinks and snacks with local music to continue the fun after an active awe inspiring guide led snorkle. Freddie and Captain Carlito outdid themselves.
