  We had the pleasure of snorkeling with the sea scooters and it was so amazing. The water was beautiful. The experience was 10/10. I don’t think I would ever want to snorkel without a sea scooter again. The crew was also very sweet and patient. I even saw a baby shark!!!

  We spent two days with the Sahara Adventures crew. We did 1/2 day reef fishing and 1/2 day snorkeling and seeing the island. I can't say enough good things about everyone at Sahara Adventures. We caught so many fish, our teenage boys had a blast competing to see who could catch the most. The highlight was catching 2 barracuda on our way back to the marina. The crew was super helpful and knew exactly where to go to keep the fishing exciting. Our second day was just as wonderful. We toured different parts of the island, snorkeled and had an amazing lunch on a private beach. I'd recommend booking them for any of their packages, you won't be disappointed!!

  Ray Ray was an amazing help and guide. He took us right to where we could find good snorkeling and scouted around for things to see. Also helps from a safety and security factor as we are not familiar with the area and also did not have our own gear. Also they provide floatation jackets if you are not a strong swimmer for an hour in the water. I passed but my wife used a jacket and said it made things easier. The snorkeling was quite good. Got very close to numerous turtles plus saw a variety of fish, stingray, barracuda, and coral. I’ve been snorkeling a number of places in the Caribbean and this was pretty plentiful with fish and coral. You are paying extra for the scooters which are cool and definitely get you out to the reef and between viewing areas quickly. As others have said the batteries don’t last terribly long so your best bet is to zoom out to your spot and then take your time a little enjoying the fish and wildlife. One of the batteries died quickly and Ray had to go back to shore to replace but it wasn’t a big deal. The best part was when I was able to use the scooter to keep pace with a huge green turtle swimming below me. If you had an underwater Go Pro or iPhone rig you might be able to hook it up but I cannot imagine juggling a phone or underwater camera with the scooter as well so we don’t have photos just a great memory. TripAdvisor wasn’t specific on time but we met at low tide which was 2pm and Ray said that was best. It’s also not clear where you meet but it’s the Smith Reef Beach parking not down by the docks. The communication from the company to get those details sorted was easy and quickly sorted out so be sure just to call them directly for any clarification .

  Using the scooters was awesome but it wasn't clear at first that the batteries would die when we were out at the reef. Just an expectation thing. Once we understood that we could get back to shore to have them switch batteries it was a great experience. The guide was great but he basically had to leave us to deal with the battery situation. All in all it was really fun and we got to spend a lot more time at Smith Reef than we normally do because we could get around much easier. Total game changer to snorkeling, especially on a windy day when it's harder to move around in your own. Definitely recommend using the scooters.

  We had so much fun snorkeling with Emmanuel and Ray. Emmanuel was fast and good at communicating beforehand. Ray was a great guide he knew the area very well, was super patient, and would spot different animals in the water for us. Would want to do another tour with them in the future.

  The sea scooter adventure exceeded all expectations, largely due to the exceptional staff. While the activity itself proved more challenging than its name might suggest, it was incredibly enjoyable. A particularly memorable moment occurred when our rental car's battery died during the snorkeling excursion. Emmanuel and Raymond went above and beyond, driving to our location unprompted and jump-starting our battery so we could continue enjoying activities while the sun was out. They refused any compensation - just genuinely kind people dedicated to ensuring visitors have a great experience.

  This review is not meant to be demeaning to the two guys (Ray Ray and Billie) who were our hosts—they were both very nice guys. The experience was not completely accurate. There was no “boat” to take us out to the snorkeling area. We were taken to a shoreline and given flippers, mask and snorkeling equipment and had to walk over very slippery rocks covered with algae to get into the water (the surf was steady and strong causing us difficulty getting into our equipment. Once we had collected ourselves we started out over the reef. The sea-life was abundant and we saw amazing creatures. Within the first 15 minutes the battery to my hand-held propulsion device ran out. We had to wait 15 min for the guide to get a new battery. The new battery only lasted a few more minutes and quit. I asked Rat Ray to please give me his and he could get a new battery. We snorkeled for a total of an hour tops. I would suggest Sarah’s Tours invest in better equipment and update the description of the tour.

  What a fantastic boat tour with Sahara Adventure! We started visiting the shipwreck La Famille express. If you are more courageous than me, you can jump from the shipwreck! My friends and I snorkeled, I loved the sea scooters, it makes a truly memorable experience. We also stopped see the iguanas on little water cay. They are literally everywhere 🦎🦎🦎 The experience of Captain Hans is undeniable, and he gave a lot of information. I highly recommend Sahara Adventure, they are amazing.

  We had the best time with the crew at Sahara Adventures. The sea scooters make a huge difference with the snorkeling - you can see so much more of the sea and it’s a ton of fun!! The crew is first rate and we’d absolutely come back and go out with them again!
