With the choice of three daily departures from Cairns, this Green Island cruise is perfect for visitors with limited time, offering a half or full day experience (up to 7 hours). You will have the choice of a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkelling equipment.

Green Island National Park

Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay. It's the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest! You will have a choice of snorkel equipment to snorkel from the white sandy beaches or to stay dry and see the island's reef from the glass bottom boat. Enjoy a walk through the lush rainforest.

A bit expensive; additional costs during day eg lunch was expensive. Tour guides were overall nice and friendly but ours missed us out on the boat (before getting to Green Island)- she also assumed I couldn’t speak English (very surprised)! Otherwise glass bottom boat trip was very good and worthwhile.

Fantastic day on the island. All at your own pace. Explore the crocs, it’s worth it then hopefully swim with a turtle. I did.

Time on the boat was very short. Excluding loading and unloading, we spent just over 20 minutes looking at/for fish and turtles. Captain was knowledgeable and helpful. We did see quite a few fish. There is too much light coming from the sides of the boat reflecting off the glass floor to be able to take good photos.

The island was so beautiful and to be able to see the reef was an exciting experience. Unfortunately it isn’t very long, it is over too quickly. However our captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
