Experience small group snowmobile safari with small local family company. Tour is made in Ivalo River and famous Lake Inari in beautifull surroundings.
Your local experienced guide will teach you how to drive snowmobile and will give you safety instructions. Trail distance in total about 25-30 km.
Owners of family company Tina and Tapio are living in a small island. While you visit the island, you get to see glimpse of authentic lappish lifestyle outside tourist areas.
You will enjoy home made lunch in lappish teepee by open fire. Lunch will be made of local fish or reindeer, also vegetarian option by request .
You will meet our friendly reindeers and have possibility to feed them and take photos. Local guide will tell you about reindeers and life in lapland. Please notice this is not a reindeer farm, there is usually 2-3 reindeers in the island.
This tour is not suitable for small children, age limit is 10 years.

The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a driver license that is valid in Finland (A1,T, A or B category)
Take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari.
Children will be seated in a sledge behind the guide's snowmobile. Children over 140 cm in height are allowed to sit on the snowmobile behind an adult, when paying the adult price.
Self-liability fee: In case of accident own risk is max. 700eur / snowmobile
If you book shared snowmobiles and your group has odd number ( 1, 3, 5 ), one of you will travel as a passanger in our guides snowmobile or in the sleigh. You can swap places, so you all can drive. Single driving is available as supplement.

Lake Inari
We will drive 10 minutes by minibuss to Koppelo village where the snowmobiles are. It is great place to start the tour to the wilderness. You will get driving and safety instructions before the tour starts. On the tour you will visit our small island where we live. There we have lappish teepee and you will meet our friendly reindeers. Lunch will be served by open fire in teepee.

5.00It was a beautiful drive across Lake Inari. It was a wonderful experience. We went with our children aged 16 and 18 who also thought it was very cool. Lunch was tasty and fun in a tippi and beautiful stories were told by the guide.

5.00We had a great time with Ivalo Safaris. The booking went very easy. Communication with the company was very good. The tourguide was very nice and helpfull, he knew a lot. We were in a small group with 2 other couples, which was very nice. We got nice warm clothes and boots, which was really needed on the lake because it was very windy today. We also booked ice fishing, which was a very nice addition. Unfortunately we didn't catch any fish, but it was a very nice experience. We even saw a wild reindeer on the lake. The lunch was great; we had reindeer soup with bread, sausages and a very delicious blueberry pie. I would highly recommend this tour with Ivalo Safaris. We had a great day. Thank you for this experience.

5.00This is the most fantastic snowmobile tour I've ever done !!! . Booking was easy , and the price for the tour was amazingly good value . Tina gave us a super friendly welcome at their office , then helped us get the right warm clothes and boots . Her husband did the tour which went out by Lake Inari , temp was minus 20 but we were all so snug . He stopped a few times to spot reindeer and just enjoy the silence and stupendous views and tell local stories . We spent a long time snowmobiling , which was fantastic. We then went to where they live put on the island where Tina had prepared sausages , hot blackberry juice and a reindeer stew for lunch which were all DELICIOUS ! We sat by the fire in their huge tent and heated up before the short trip back . It was one of the best days I've ever had on holiday . If you're doing a tour , book with Ivali Safaris !!

4.00Very welcome, MIKO is adorable. The beautiful scenery, the sunrise over the lake is superb The only regret, the course is monotonous, we do not go to the trees at all. There are only three reindeer, it’s a bit simple.

5.00Snowmobile ride on the frozen lake really beautiful, we also have contracts some reindeer. At the end of the snowmobile ride we met three reindeer that we fed before enjoying a traditional lunch of sausages and a delicious salmon soup inside a typical tent. Excellent driving

5.00The collection at our accommodation went smoothly It went straight to changing clothes Shoes, socks, overalls, gloves and helmet you got everything. Our group leader Max was very personable and nice. The snowmonil ride was a great experience. We have taken photos, eaten and reindeer fed Then it went back again. Great value for money

5.00The magic of Christmas! Doing this snowmobile tour was a real joy! Starting with Max to dress warmly over our outfits. The loaned equipment is essential to keep the wind out of the snowmobile. Then after his instructions we left. A breathtaking landscape, you take full eyes. A stop with the Rennes and a well-cooked meal with our guide Max and this tour becomes idyllic! A big thank you to Max. This snowmobile trip will be unforgettable:-) Organisation top!!!!

5.00Cannot recommend this trip highly enough. We travelled all over Finland, from Helsinki to Inari and this was both mine and my partners favourite day! The most incredible and authentic. Driving the snowmobiles across the frozen lake was a once in a lifetime opportunity, the scenery is breathtaking and with not a sole around, it really felt like you were in another world. The snowmobiles were great fun and the thermal clothes kept us super warm. Tina and her husband (who guided us on the snowmobiles) were so kind and welcoming. We stopped on the island where they live for lunch inside a gorgeous cosy tipi. The food was honestly amazing, homemade reindeer soup was the best Finnish food we tasted during our whole trip. They gave us so much information and told stories about the local area and their life there. If you are looking for a real once in a lifetime Finnish experience- this is it! 1000000/10. Thank you so much for accommodating us and sharing your way of life, it really was a fantastic day!
