Your adventure begins in Bergen, where you’ll meet your guide. Once fitted with snowshoes and poles, you’ll head off into peaceful winter landscapes, far from the city and tourist crowds. The pace will be adjusted to suit the group, allowing time to enjoy the silence, the snow, and the scenery. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views over a local fjord if the weather is clear. On snowier days, you’ll instead feel the raw power of the Norwegian winter — snow, wind, and fresh mountain air. A hot drink is included, and your guide will enrich the journey with stories of local culture, history, and outdoor traditions. This is a truly magical way to experience Norway in winter, whether you are traveling solo, with family, or with friends. Minimum number of total participants to run: 3 (can be from other groups).

5.00What an amazing day out with Marie’s and Andreas! Together they achieved the perfect balance of sharing interesting information and enabling the group to enjoy the scenery. We enjoyed many laughs together as we attempted to navigate the very deep snow. Lovely snacks and hot chocolate and they even arranged brilliant weather for it too. :-) I’d suggest you need a basic level of fitness for this trip as a minimum. Highly recommended.

5.00Despite a foggy weather, we were able to do this superb snowshoe ride. We were alone with our guide David which made this moment even more magical. The feeling of walking snowshoes in the snow where no one else had gone before. Not a sound, just the sound of the waterfall facing the beauty of nature. David adapted to us for the ride and taught us a lot about Bergen and Norway in general. Very good guide and very beautiful person. This tour is essential if you are going to Bergen. I recommend 100%. Aud & Phil from Belgium.

5.00This is a must book trip from the moment were picked up in Bergen till the drop off we were looked after. Weather was fantastic and the guides Tor, Jannis and Norman were awesome. Great chat, Great Snack and full of fantastic stories. We lucked out with the snow and we were part of a fun group. Snow was so fresh and crisp and the views were spectacular.... could have spent days up in the mountains. Living in Scotland we have similar scenery however the snow just tops it off! Thanks to the Norway Mountain Guides !!

5.00A truly magical snowshoeing adventure in Bergen! Walking through pristine snow with jaw-dropping views all around felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. Our guides were fantastic, and pausing for a cozy snack at the summit made it even more special. An unforgettable way to experience Bergen in winter!

5.00The snow shoe hike was a fantastic activity in winter wonderland. Our son (11yrs) had a blast too. We had great conditions and our passionate guides (Ole and David) lead us to the most scenic viewpoints, where they shared local meat delicacies and hot chocolate after preparing first row snow seats to enjoy the stunning view. Our guides are clearly clued up on mountain safety and it is inspiring to see their connection to nature and their joy guiding. It was also fun to be in the car with David, we had great chats and we learned a lot about Bergen and its surroundings. Could not have been better!

5.00This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The tour guides were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and very informative of the tour we would be taking. The hike itself was really fun and the views were breathtaking at the top of the hill. On the way down we stopped in a cabin in which the guides provided us with traditional Norwegian snacks and stories of the local areas which was really engaging and a very enjoyable experience. To top it all off, Tor, our guide went above and beyond to aid my partner and I get to the airport under a tight time constraint to catch our flight. It really summed up an amazing day with the best guides in Norway!

5.00It was my first time snowshoeing and it was amazing! The tour guide we got are super interesting people, and though I lost my phone during one of the jumps, they were able to find it for me! We had a lot of fun!

5.00What an amazing day out. We thoroughly enjoyed the snow shoe hike. Ole was brilliant, knowledgeable, funny and overall a superb guide. Ole really went out of his way to make our experience unforgettable. With it being Easter he even brought us some chocolate 😋. Thanks again Ole, you made an unforgettable new experience even more memorable.

5.00We absolutely loved every second of our winter mountain snowshoe hike adventure. Our guide Ole was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, very patient and a lot of fun. He insured that we were comfortable the entire time and also allowed us a lot of freedom on the hike. He was also very interesting and great to talk to. The experience run smoothly from starts finish – from pick up in Bergen city centre to collection of the gear to the hike itself. We were very lucky with the weather – it was a lovely day with blue skies, and the hike was extremely picturesque. However, I think we would have enjoyed the experience regardless because of our amazing guide. All in all, it was a perfect hike with great weather and a new friend in Ole. The hike was approximately 10 km round-trip with some significant elevation – however, I have full confidence that the guide would have tailored this to our fitness levels. I will not only be recommending this experience to my friends – but I will be returning myself for more in the future.
